It's about an hour and a half drive to the cabin and I take Phoenix's hand in mine as I back out of the driveway and start to head north.
Ryker and I are still the Alphas of the Twisted Oak Pack and he's going to hold down the fort here. Not that there should be any trouble. We managed to straighten things out years ago and everything has been running smoothly ever since. That's a good thing too, because we'd both rather be spending time with our mates and our kids than dealing with the drama or headache that came with straightening out this pack in the early years.
“Excited?” Phoenix asks as we hit the driveway and I squeeze her hand.
“Of course. I get to have you to myself for the next three days,” I tell her and we both glance in the backseat. “Well, mostly to myself,” I clarify and she laughs.
“Don’t worry,” she whispers. “We’ll have plenty of alone time.”
My wolf howls in excitement and I grin as I settle into my seat and get ready for another great day with my mate.
