Pulling out of her,he used the reddened tip of his cock to replace his fingers, hisbreathing becoming shallow, his body shuddering.

"I love you."Her voice was shaky, her lips parted as she arched toward him. "OhDion, I love you so much." Her body buckled as she came again, fingers clawing the sheets as she tried to gain purchase.

He joined her on thebed, his arms enfolding hers as they waited for the storm to pass.

"Well." Shewhispered, burying her face in his chest.

"Mmm." Washis only comment as he held her against him. He felt warm all over, relaxed and sane. In a strange way, she had the opposite effect onhim - she managed to calm him down and soothe his fears and make himconfused and out of control at the same time. It was weird.

"We should getup."

"We should."He agreed, making no move to do so. "As soon as I get mystrength back."

It took a whilebefore that happened.

The manor house waslocated in an exclusive area and the stately mansion was surroundedby lush green lawns, fountains and statues from ancient Greece.

She already knew thehouse had been in the family for several hundred years and theoccupants had added their own flair to the place. He’d confidedin her years ago it never felt like home to him.

"It was cold andunfeeling and I always thought of it as a pile of stones."

It had a certainbeauty that couldn’t be denied. The driveway brought them up tothe wraparound porch. To the left there was the dazzling blue of theswimming pool and a large pool house a few feet away. She caughtglimpses of a tennis court and already knew there was a basketballcourt as well.

Ilene opened the doorwearing chic lime-green dress pants teamed with a lighter green silkblouse. Her brown hair was swept back from her face and secured atthe nape of her neck and she was smiling as she stepped out onto theporch.

"Welcome."Her smile was even warmer as she came closer. "I told the maidsto bring the food out. It's such a lovely day, too lovely to becooped up indoors." She moved forward to kiss her son and tookOdette's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You look lovely, mydear."

"I’d liketo say that I just threw something on, but that would be a lie."

"She agonizedover what to wear for hours." Dion added as they made their waytoward the pool. "She wanted to make an impression." Hegave her a grin as she gave him a killing glance. Neither of themrealized they’d revealed the fact they’d been together.Even if they hadn’t said a word, Ilene had seen the intimacybetween them.

"Whatever youdid, it worked." Ilene said casually. A trestle table had beenset up and a white tablecloth spread. Utensils were folded in whitenapkins with white wrought iron chairs for them to sit. The poolshimmered and glinted beneath the midday sun and the scent of flowerspermeated the air.

"Dion can giveyou the tour of the place when we’ve finished eating."

"Everythinglooks so wonderful." Odette exclaimed as she looked around. "Isthat a treehouse?" She angled her head up to stare at thetowering oak a few feet away.

"I had it builtwhen Dion was eight." Reaching for her glass of water, Ilenetook a sip as she gazed up at the structure.

"It's huge."

"He can stillfit in it.”

Odette turned to lookat the man who was leaning back in the chair, a relaxed expression onhis face. “How much time did you spend in it?”

“A lot. I’dcome home from school, play a few games of one-sided tennis, take asupervised swim and head up armed with my books to do my homework."

He didn’tmention it, but she got a picture of a lonely little boy. "Youdidn’t have friends over?"

"I wasn’tallowed." He said it casually as he reached for the glass ofwater in front of him.

Odette was about tocomment when the maids carrying the food came toward them.

"I wasn’tsure what affects you, my dear, so I instructed the chef to make somecold soups and salad."

"Good plan."Odette nodded her approval to the hostess as she took off the silverdomes. They settled in to eat the delicious meal and the conversationcentered around the company and plans for the grand opening of asuper store in Manhattan.
