“It’s my only option. I’m filling in for my sister at the mayor’s office. If I don’t show up on Monday she could get fired.”

“You’re Devlyn’s sister, Henley Never, right?”

Turning to the blurry man, I nodded. “That’s right.”

“I’m supposed to check on you next week.”

I groaned. “I really wished she hadn’t bothered you. I know you men have busy lives. It was nothing. I took care of it.”

“Asshole laid hands on you. That’s what Devlyn said.”

I nodded. “He did and I filed a report with the sheriff.”

“Well, it’s only for a week and I don’t mind. Got nothing else to do, anyway. So, where do you live? I’ll drive you home. Then I’ll go pick up the wrecker and go get your car.”

“On Rosewood Mountain, just past Treasure Pass.”

“I know it well.”

About thirty minutes later, the vehicle slowed to a stop. Unbuckling my seat belt, I didn’t have time to open the door, as Scribe already had it opened and was reaching for me. Grabbing my waist, he lifted me out of his vehicle as if I weighed nothing.

Not even a grunt.

Walking me to my door, I rummaged around in my bag for my keys. Taking them from me, he asked, “Which one?”

“The yellow one.”

Hearing the locks click, I smiled as the door creaked open. “I wish I could see you properly and thank you. You’ve been really nice to me and I appreciate that.”

“It was my pleasure,” he replied. “You need help finding your glasses?”

“No. I’ve got it.”

“Well then, I’m gonna go get your car,” he added before placing something in my hand. “That’s my card. Once you can see the world again, call if you need anything. Okay?”

Nodding, I smiled. “Thank you again.”

Holy shit!

It was her.

The perfectly stunning Peeping Tom.

The second I pulled into her long driveway and recognized where I was, I barely contained my shock. I knew the woman was gorgeous, but fuck me, I never imagined she was the hottie in the hot tub.

Sitting in my truck, I stared dumbfounded as the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen to walk this vast earth disappeared into her small cabin.

She was fucking stunning.

Like totally super model gorgeous.

The woman was truly a T.F.B to the max!

A dream girl I could have scarcely imagined.
