Rebel gasped and I looked at her quickly to find her pointing to the screen. She covered her mouth with her hand, her brown eyes dancing with delight as a giggle escaped. “Is that…,” her question trailed off and my eyes snapped to the screen.
It was very clear that our baby was a boy, and the tech could only chuckle and nod. “Seems he’s quite the showoff.”
Rebel eyed me and I let out a booming laugh, something that has become easier with my woman in my life, before kissing her forehead. “Thank you, Hellcat,” I murmured against her skin.
The words weren’t enough for the gratitude I felt then, nor are they enough for the way I feel now.
As I start to lead Rebel back down the makeshift aisle and toward our reception in the clubhouse, I lean over and kiss her temple. “Thank you, Hellcat,” my voice is thick with emotion.
She glances up at me and smiles, one of those smiles that is just for me. I know she understands what I’m saying and how I feel.

She’s mine and I’m hers and we’re just getting started.
