His left hand is on the steering wheel and his other hand caresses his jaw, “That was not a line. If I wanted to use a line on you, I would have used a better one. I am trying my best to act like a gentleman, but I am also very tempted to see just how soft your thighs are.”
I shift, pressing them together.
“See, that’s a line. Your eyes, that’s fact. Now your turn.”
“My turn what?”
“Tell me one thing you like about me. I could saw you staring earlier.”
My mind immediately wanders to all the sex dreams he has unknowingly been a part of.
“It is beneath you to fetch compliments, you know.”
He smiles again, a sight that makes my thighs rub together again. “I know Rachel, but I am a fickle man. So, tell me. You can even use a line, if that is more your style.”
I scoff. This guy is a little too much. He is annoying but in a charming way.
“Well, I like your punctuality.”
He eyes me once before returning his attention to the road, “Well, touché Rachel. We are here.”
Here turns out to be a five-star restaurant in the middle of the city.
He pulls in and then walks over to open the door for me before passing his keys to a valet.
We walk up to the entrance, my eyes roaming. I notice two CCTV cameras right at the entrance and several security guards roaming the perimeter.
“Good evening. Welcome toRicotta.”
“Good evening,” Alessandro replies as he pulls me closer to his side. “The reservation is under Alessandro.”
The tall blonde hostess peruses her list before walking us to the terrace. The restaurant is beautiful, all glitz and glam. The terrace is a private area, the table set with a few candles.
“This is your table. A waiter will come to serve you shortly.”
He pulls my chair out for me, like the gentleman he keeps claiming to be. I sit down and place my bag next to me.
I am antsy and the more I think about it, the more I wish he would have just agreed to staying in. Maybe we can rush through dinner and leave.
“So, what do you think about the place?”
I look out to see the perfect view of the city, the chandeliers around us gorgeous. Everything is beautiful and somehow so boring.
“It is nice.”
“Just nice?”
“Just nice,” I repeat.
“Huh! Seems I will have to try harder next time.”
I am about to tell him that there will be no next time when a waiter approaches us.
“Good evening. My name is Matt and I will be your server for the evening. What can I get for you?”
Alessandro flashes me a smile before replying, “I think we will see your starter menu first.”
Seems we will be here for a while after all.
