I should probably tell Timber about that.

Those two men were another reason why I tried to stay away from the trailer so much. They would show up at least twice a month, sometimes more, but their visits were always random. I’d tried to track them in the past but couldn’t find a pattern. That is, until these past few weeks.

Both she and Nathan tense at my words, and she pats my arm.

“I doubt they would have followed you here, and I bet my boys will all be on alert. Try to calm down, sweetie.”

It takes me a bit to remember she calls all the guys in the Junction Creek chapter ‘her boys’. Heck, she even calls the Forest Creek guys that, too. And all the guys call her Mama Astrid as well from what I’ve heard. They have a house on club grounds and since she’s now retired, she cooks almost all the meals for the Junction Creek guys.

Nodding, I take a few deep breaths and unclench my hands. I hadn’t even realized I’d balled them up in my lap. Someone opens my door and I jump.

Jeez, my nerves really are shot. I seriously do hope that Preston didn’t follow us here.

Turning, I give a small smile to Timber, who’s watching me with concern. “Just worried about a repeat,” I whisper.

His face hardens as he gives me a chin lift, but I know he’s not mad at me. Taking his hand, I climb out of the SUV.

He keeps his hand on the small of my back as we enter the store, and I immediately grab a cart. I’m surprised when Mama Astrid grabs one herself and gives me a mischievous look.

“Just grabbing one in case we need it.”

Even though I don’t believe her, I nod. After my experiences yesterday, I have a feeling I’ll be coming away from the store with more than I intend to buy.

Shaking off my thoughts, I head to the pharmacy area. I grab the medicines I’m used to getting—ibuprofen, cough drops, allergy medicine, vitamins, eye drops, and such. Hearing items going into a cart behind me, I turn around and frown when I see Mama Astrid grabbing the exact same things that I just did.

She smirks at me. “Trust me, dear. You’re going to want to keep extra of everything you buy like this in Timber’s room at the clubhouse. We’ll bag it up separate from your other order, so it’ll be easier when you all get back to your clubhouse. Make sure you keep extra clothes there too for the times when you don’t have a chance to grab a bag and the guys are all out taking care of business.”

Pausing, I take in what she’s saying. Then I remember the times where Timber had told me not to leave the clubhouse without him. I really need to talk to him sometime to learn more about the club. Taking a deep breath, I nod.

“I hadn’t thought of that, but it makes sense. Thank you.”

She waves me off and I continue, but this time, I pull two of everything and throw one in each cart.

When we get to the feminine aisle, I blush and keep my head down. It’s a necessity, but I still feel weird getting the items with all these men around us. Mama Astrid reaches around me, and I freeze when I see what she’s grabbing.

A couple boxes of pregnancy tests.

It’s then that I realize Timber didn’t use a condom this morning, either time, and I start to panic. I wonder if he realizes he didn’t use one. What if I’m already pregnant? Does he even want kids?

“For whenever you’re ready or you think you’ve missed your period. This way, you won’t have to wait to go and buy one,” she whispers as she squeezes my shoulder.

I bite my lip, mouth ‘thank you’ to her and tuck them both in the carts, covering them up with some other items. She smiles at me and we continue shopping.

Walking by the clothes, I see a few shirts I like and another hoodie. Since fall’s fast approaching, I snag a couple and throw them in the cart.

Turning around, I’m about to head to the checkout when I see Timber grinning at his phone and then he gives me a mischievous look.

“What?”

“Nothing, Sunshine.”

I narrow my eyes at him, but he just grins.

“You’ll just have to wait until we get back to the clubhouse.”

Rolling my eyes at him, I head to the checkout and start piling items onto the belt. The total makes me want to wince, but I hold my card out only to have Timber snagging it back and giving the checkout lady his card instead.

Sighing, I put my card away, then cross my arms as I glare at him.
