Frowning, I shake my head. “I’m not going to decide on that until I ask her. She told me she never thought she’d find someone who wanted her for her and part of that is because of her fucked up stepdad, Preston, filling her head with a bunch of fucking lies and starving her. If she wants a full-on wedding, I’ll give it to her. I’m not taking her choice away from her.”

Smoke grins at me and dips his head. “Good man. Let me know if she decides the paper route and I’ll get it done.”

The guys razz me some more when I feel eyes on me. Looking up, Levi, Thor, and Dragon are talking quietly together. Levi winks at me and gestures for me to join them. What are they plotting? And if it’s what I think it is, is it something Sunshine will want?

Everyone’s finishing supper when Tripp walks up and puts a box on the bar, tipping his head at me.

Grinning, I stand up from my seat. Sunshine looks up at me, confused, but I wink at her. “You’ll understand in a second.”

She frowns, but nods. I feel her gaze on me as I walk over to the bar. Turning to face everyone, I whistle to get their attention.

“Quiet down, assholes and ladies.”

Chuckles ring out but I wait a few moments for everyone’s full attention. My gaze passes over the room and I fight to curl my lip at the seductive look Crystal’s giving me. Fucking hell. Even though I know my single brothers like them, I wish we didn’t have bunnies. It would save a lot of fucking headaches.

“Sunshine, can you come up here, please?”

Worry flashes across her face, but Smoke nudges her, most likely reassuring her it’s nothing bad without giving it away.

Hesitantly, she gets up and weaves through the tables until she’s at my side.

“A week ago, you came into my life, and with one look, I knew you were the woman for me. In fact, that same day, I told you I wanted you to be my Old Lady. You accepted the next day and now,” I pause as I hand her the box. “Now, everyone will know you’re my Old Lady.”

She looks up at me in shock before grinning and opening it. She pulls out her cut and chuckles at her road name.

Sunshine Goddess.

She slips it on and I pull her to me, slamming my lips down on hers.

Catcalls erupt from everyone, and she laughs at their antics when she pulls away. I raise my hand, quieting everyone down again.

“There’s something else.” Turning toward her, I take her left hand in mine, kissing it. “You are my world, Sunshine. There’s not a day that goes by that I thank the stars that you’re my woman. And I hope, you’ll be my side forever.”

She gasps, her other hand coming up to her mouth in shock as I kneel in front of her and pull out the ring I had picked out for her. It’s a princess cut with diamonds surrounding it and along part of her band. On the inside, I had them engrave ‘My Sunshine Goddess’. I had overheard her and the ladies talking about rings once and Sunshine had said her favorite cut was the princess cut. There was no way I was going to get her anything but that style.

“Will you marry me, Mae Rose Witlock, and be my Sunshine Goddess forever?

“Yes!” she cries as she throws her arms around my neck and kisses me.

Relief flows through me even though I was certain she would say yes. Everyone stands up, congratulating us, as they clap and cheer. Well, I notice Crystal scowling at us as she claps slowly so as not to draw too much attention to herself.

Wrapping my arms around her, I stand, carefully twirling us before setting her back down on her feet.

“As for our wedding, we’ll do whatever you want, whenever you want. You hear me?” I whisper to her and she nods as her eyes turn misty again.

The ladies rush forward, and I grin, as they surround my woman. Hugging her, wanting to see her ring. They start to pull her over to a table at the back when she looks over her shoulder, a question in her eyes.

Smiling, I nod and the blinding smile she gives me washes away any doubts I might have had about asking her tonight. I hadn’t wanted to encroach on the eve of Levi’s wedding, but she did raise some valid points and concerns to marrying Mae as soon as possible.

Now, it’s up to what Mae wants, as I would never deny her the wedding of her dreams.

Holy cannoli... I can’t believe I’m engaged!

I stare down at my beautiful ring and tears prick my eyes. The ladies are gushing but something someone says pulls me out of my thoughts with a jerk.

“Wait. What did you say?”

Sasha laughs. “What if you two had a double wedding? That would be so cool!”
