Was it really possible?

Was he my other half?

My soul mate?

The guy I’d always been dreaming about?

For some reason, I now felt even more connected to him than ever. Maybe it was because now I knew so much more about him.

I was sure he wasn’t the bad guy I should be afraid of.

Pablo stopped moving, still buried deep inside me, his grip on my hair tightening. “Tell me you’re mine. Say you’re mine or I won’t let you come.”

His words were like oil to my fire.

“I’m yours,” I said.

He pulled out and slammed himself back inside me, my bubble of pleasure bursting into a million little particles.

I cried out at the same time as Pablo did, my whole body throbbing and pulsating.

As I gasped for breath, he enveloped me with his heated body.

Did I want to be his?

Yes, yes I did.

The only thing I wanted for Christmas was him.

I WANTED SOME HOT COCOA, so Pablo and I went together to the kitchen to get some. I used the opportunity to show him around, even if he probably already knew a lot since he’d successfully broken in and taken me with him.

“I’m sorry,” he said.

“What?” I turned to him.

“I shouldn’t have kidnapped you. I’m sorry.”

“Shh. Don’t say it so loud. It’s our little secret,” I whispered. “And I forgive you.”

“Why?” He furrowed his brow.

“It’s Christmas.” I flashed him a smile.

“I know, but what I did—”

“Well, you realized you were wrong and that you made a mistake. You were in a really bad place. That’s all. Now you know better. And when you got a chance to do the right thing, you did it, even if it could’ve ended up very bad for you.”

I had a choice.

I could either be very mad at him forever for kidnapping me, or I could move past it and enjoy the present. We all made mistakes, and our lives...

They weren’t like the lives of regular people. Bad things happened when you were born into a mafia family or a gang.

Pablo was looking at the Christmas tree with an unreadable expression on his face. Maybe he was remembering something.

“What do you usually do on Christmas? Any fun traditions?” I asked.
