She shifts, taking off her sunglasses and looking at me over her shoulder. “What are you going to do about it?” She grins.
“You’ll see.” There’s so much tension inside my body that I don’t know how I’m going to hold off, but it’s the sweetest kind of torture.
I undo the strings and pull off her panties, then I use them to tie her wrists at the small of her back. She wiggles her hips as I splay my hand over her bottom, and then I give her a hard smack.
She lets out a little gasp as my palm connects with her ass again. I grip her wrists as I turn her bottom into a nice shade of red.
She pushes her hips up, longing for my touch where she most needs it.
“Don’t move,” I say, and head inside.
“Where are you going?” Adriana asks.
To wash the sunscreen off my fingers and get some condoms, but not telling her anything and leaving her exposed and wondering is way more fun.
“Salvatore!” Frustration laces her voice.
“Be patient!” I yell back.
She’ll see it was totally worth the wait after I give her a few orgasms and have her moan in pleasure.
My cock already throbs at that thought. Fuck. I need to hurry, or the wait is going to be more of a torture for me than for her.
CHAPTER17
Salvatore
It’sNew Year’s Eve, and I don’t even know how I feel about it. Adriana isn’t my real fiancée, and she’ll have to go home, no matter what I find out tonight.
If there’s an enemy I have to deal with, I can do it on my own. If Ismaele doesn’t offer me any useful info, then it still makes sense for Adriana to go home. If the person threatening us really cares about us being together, they’ll be happy that we’re apart.
In any case, it’s better to end things with Adriana. Not that there’s anything to end. We’re not in a relationship. We’re just having fun while it lasts.
And damn, it’s a lot of fun. Maybe a little too much. She can make me laugh so easily and make me forget about everything. I’m sure I could’ve done more to find the person behind all this mess, but I just didn’t feel like it because I was more interested in Adriana.
When she smiles at me, it’s like I’m in a different world where—
I look up. Adriana stands at the top of the stairs. My jaw goes slack. She’s gorgeous in her black dress embroidered with silver. She picked it up when we went shopping together, or at least I think that’s the same dress. On her, it just looks different.
Her lips spread into a smile that makes her whole face shine. Her piercing eyes watch me with the same intense look as always.
Can she see into my soul? Because it feels like she can. I’ve asked myself if something was wrong with me a million times already, and I still haven’t figured it out.
“Don’t stare at me like that,” Adriana says as she descends the stairs. “You’ll make me think there’s something wrong with my dress or my makeup.”
“There’s nothing wrong. You’re stunning.”
She smiles, taking my hand. “Then we can go.”
A zap of electricity surges through my arm as she leans closer to me. Our gazes meet. Has she felt that too? Probably.
Would it be so bad if we were actually dating? Who cares what Cesare and the rest will think? Isn’t there something more going on between us?
It would be worth exploring it. I’ve never wanted to be in a relationship before, but Adriana is different. I might have changed my mind, but what does she feel?
Maybe I can ask her after tonight. The end of our deal doesn’t have to be the end of our relationship.
