When the end credits started to roll, I sent a thank you up to whoever was listening that helped me get through this ordeal.
Then I turned to Romeo, and realized he was no longer smiling.
“You hated it, didn’t you?” The frown on his face broke my heart because he had been into this experience with me.
“No, I actually didn’t hate the movie,” I admitted. It was the truth. As far as horror films went, it wasn’t too terrifying to handle. At least that’s my opinion based on my few experiences with scary movies.
“But?” he said, narrowing his eyes, knowing there was more.
“I maaaay or may not be terrified of scary movies,” I admitted, wincing and waiting for his reaction.
“Eliza!” he gasped. “Why wouldn’t you just tell me? We never would have come here.”
“Because it’s something you loved, and I wanted to experience it with you. I couldn’t tell you no when you looked all adorably excited.”
He shook his head at my defense and started gathering up the trash.
“You’re crazy, you know that? We could have just done something else.”
I hurried after him as he tossed everything in the trash can and started to head outside. I grabbed his hand and stopped him before he could walk out the main door, pulling him into the corner of the lobby.
“Please don’t be upset,” I begged.
He dipped down and brushed a kiss across my lips. “I’m not upset with you. I’m just frustrated with myself that I didn’t realize that you were struggling the entire time. Some mate I am.”
“Don’t do that,” I pleaded. “I chose to come here. I wanted to do it. The besties roasted me for not coming clean, but I don’t regret it. I had a good time, a terrifying time, but a good time. By the end of the movie I really enjoyed it, much more than I thought I would to be honest. Besides, isn’t jumping and reacting to the scares what makes it fun? Like rollercoasters.”
“You’re a mess,” he huffed with a laugh after my rambling defense.
“But you love me anyway,” I said, giving him my best innocent smile.
He rolled his eyes and put his arm around my shoulder, tucking me into his side and kissing my temple before leading us outside.
“That I do. Let’s get some dinner.”
The rest of the date was so much better. Now that the nerves weren’t suffocating me, I enjoyed talking and flirting with him like usual.
“So, would you ever do it again?” he questioned as we drove home from the restaurant.
“Maybe,” I said. “Depends on what movie.”
“That’s fair,” he said, chuckling to himself. “I’m not afraid to go alone if I have to.”
“Good, because you might go alone more than not,” I admitted, “but I can make it up to you.”
“Oh, really?” he questioned, raising an eyebrow.
I bit back my smile as I tied my hair back in a ponytail. He’d just pulled in front of an apartment complex and parked, so I unbuckled and shifted in the seat so I had better access before unzipping his pants. By the time I’d tugged his cock free he was hard. He didn’t bother to protest, simply leaned back to give me more room before I was wrapping my mouth around him.
Romeo groaned as I teased him with my tongue, savoring the taste of his precum with a moan of my own. He began cursingand threaded fingers through my hair as I started bobbing my head.
Blow jobs weren’t always my favorite but there was no way I could handle the small, lingering sadness in his eyes. I was totally going to make it up to him with not just sex but more horror movie date nights. Even if I had to watch the movies beforehand to prepare myself, I was determined to do this for him at least some of the time.
I pulled off of him just as Romeo warned me he was going to come soon if I didn’t stop.
“We should move this to your room,” Romeo rasped, cheeks flushed in the dim lamplight. “There isn’t enough room in here.”
“Not creative enough, mate?” I teased him.
