She nodded her head.
“Words, Little one,” he reminded her.
“Yes, Daddy. I understand.”
“Good girl.” Daddy kissed her forehead and she melted into his body.
CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
SOFIA
Sofia walked up to Monty’s door and stood there for a second. Should she do this right now or should she wait? She didn’t want to bother Monty, but she also needed to talk to her about what she should do.
She needed to tell Daddy what was going on, but she was worried about what he would say or react.
“Are you going to stand there all day or are you going to come in?” Monty asked.
Sofia looked up and gave her a smile.
“How did you know I was here?” she asked as she stepped into the apartment.
She only had thirty minutes before she needed to leave for work. Daddy didn’t know she was here, and she was worried about that. They had driven together to the club, and he had gone to work while she just hung around. Then she decided to come visit Monty and get her opinion. She wasn't scheduled to work tonight and today was the day that Sofia was supposed to tell her Daddy.
“My little brother saw your shadow and told me someone was at the door,” Monty said. “Peepholes are amazing for situations like this. Not that the door would do anything.”
Sofia nodded her head in agreement. This door was just like hers and there was no argument against it not being safe. Everyone in the building knew that it was a shit door.
“So, what did you need?” Monty asked.
“I need advice,” Sofia softly said, nervous about telling Monty. “It’s about me and Jaxson.”
“Sit down and spill the beans.”
She couldn’t help but chuckle. Monty was trying to make her feel comfortable.
“I got a letter the other day.”
“From who? You didn’t give your friend your address.”
“The government about my work visa expiring in less than two months.”
Monty gasped and stared at her. “W-what?”
“Yeah, I thought I had more time, but I don’t. So, I need to get the money and reapply.”
Sofia closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She had been stressing over this ever since she read the letter. She was short of money, and she didn’t know where she was going to get it. Maybe she could get paid a little earlier.
“Have you told Jaxson?” Monty asked.
“No,” Sofia replied. “I don’t know how, and I don’t know if I should. I’ve been saving to apply for a Green Card but it’s so expensive.”
“Why haven’t you told him? I know he would be happy to help you.”
She sighed. “He’s my Daddy now and I just don’t want him to worry about it. This isn’t his problem, and I don’t want to become a burden for him. Especially when everything is so new.”
Monty shook her head. “You don’t get to make that decision for him. You need to tell him and let him decide if he wants to still be with you and help out.”
“I don’t know,” Sofia whispered.
