Her eyes darted to the side of him and she caught a glimpse of a couple Littles looking over in their direction. Maybe she could do this if Daddy stayed with her the whole time.
“Ready?” he asked. “Take a deep breath for me and let it out. Good girl.”
She watched as Daddy turned around. “I want you to meet Sofia. You might have seen her behind the bar, serving you drinks and snackies.”
He tugged her hand, and she hesitantly walked out from behind him. The first thing she noticed were all the eyes on her. There must have been at least ten other Littles here, some she knew, and some she didn’t.
A shuddering breath fell from her lips. There were so many people just staring at her. The few Daddies who were here were also looking at her.
“Sofia!” Charlotte called out. “It’s so nice to see you agains!”
Janie was standing right next to Charlotte and Monroe. She knew those three girls, but the other Littles, she had no clue who they were.
“Can you introduce yourselves one by one?” Jaxson asked.
“You know I’m Charlotte or I go by Charlie.”
“Janie.”
“Monroe.”
“Christine.”
“Echo.”
“Tucker.”
“Kyle.”
“Elsha.”
“Blaise.”
“Valentine.”
Sofia blinked several times as everyone introduced themselves. She had seen Kyle around here, but had never talked to him before. Everyone else except Charlotte, Janie, and Monroe were new to her.
“Little one, introduce yourself,” Daddy prompted her.
She looked up at him, and he gave her an encouraging smile. She gave a little wave with her hand that held Trixie. “Hellos, I’ms Sofia.”
All of the Littles said hello back to her and started to talk all at once. Sofia started to get overwhelmed and gripped onto her Daddy’s hand.
“Everyone!” Finn yelled. “One at a time. We don’t want to overwhelm people.”
Everyone went quiet as Finn talked. She was glad he had said something because she didn't know how she was going to deal with all ten of them talking to her.
“Sofia would love for you to talk to her, but please not all at once. She gets a little anxious at that,” Daddy said before he went down to her level and got closer to her. “The only ones withDaddies or Mommies are Monroe and Charlotte. All the other ones are either talking to someone or don’t have anyone at all. Just be respectful.”
Sofia nodded her head and looked back at all the other Littles. She was glad she wasn’t the only one who didn’t have a permanent Daddy. While Jaxson said she could call him Daddy while they were here, it didn’t mean he was her long term Daddy.
No matter how much she wanted it to be true, she needed to remind herself it was temporary.
The Littles looked at her and nodded before Janie took a step forward.
“Come plays with us?” Janie held out her hand.
Sofia looked up at her Daddy. She didn’t exactly know why, but she wanted to make sure if it was okay with him.
