She flushes. “These meetings interrupt –”
“Your flow. Sorry about that.”
“It’s okay. I know they’re necessary.”
I swallow, letting my eyes fall along the line of her body. She’s wearing a cute skirt with an overall top, orange with white daisies patterned all over it, a tiny white tee underneath. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen her in a skirt, actually. Other than the day of Hunter and Amy’s wedding.
It’s an innocent-looking outfit. Which makes me half-hard without Kira even trying. I know how naughty she can be. She can’t hide her true nature in these charming little outfits. I’ve had her in positions most people would blush at.
Shit. I’m staring at her.I tear my eyes away and adjust my suit jacket with a deep cough.
“Are you alright?”
“I’m fine.”
The service elevator doors part, growling loudly. We step inside the mammoth-sized elevator and land beside one another. Barely a few inches apart.
“I hope you don’t mind going down first…” Kira says, pressing the B button for basement.
Dear god, of course I don’t mind going down. “Not a problem.”
The elevator groans. The problem with it compared to the front elevators is that it’s slow. However, it’s not a problem right now. Not at all.
To be in Kira Solace’s orbit for a few extra seconds is everything to me.Everything.
“You’re awfully quiet,” Kira says.
I shoot her a look. “Aren’t I usually?”
“You used to be. But lately…” She looks up at me, her lips curved in a smirk. “No.”
My abs tighten to prevent my dick from springing completely to life. “What would you like me to say?”
She shrugs. “I don’t know. You could say something about my outfit since you’ve been staring at it.”
I laugh despite myself. I didn’t know Kira could be so bold. I love it. “Um, well, it looks very nice.”
“Thank you.”
“Although I can’t say it’s the outfit I’ve been staring at.” The way I’m acting is completely opposite everything Kira and I discussed two weeks ago. Just friends. Colleagues. Nothing more.
However, she’s egging me on bit by bit. And given how tight the crotch of my pants is becoming, I’m not sure I can resist.
Kira opens her mouth to respond. The doors open at the basement level. She takes a step forward. Disappointment springs through my chest. Until her hand darts to the fifth-floorbutton and the doors slide shut. “I don’t think we’re done with this conversation.”
I can’t hold back. Something in the air. Thick. Hot. Tension pulling me from every angle. The second the elevator starts moving, I grab Kira’s arm and push her up against the wall of the elevator. She gasps but does not fight.
“You should have walked away,” I growl.
She giggles, eyelids lowering, chin tipping back. “Why?”
“Because I can’t keep it professional. I can’t stop.”
Kira shifts her hips forward. They brush up against my crotch. There’s no way I can stop the natural course of my body any longer. “So don’t.”
My god, this woman is going to destroy me.
I take her chin in my hand and kiss her harshly. I’ve wanted this kiss for over a month now. Missed it every moment since I left the cabin. Kira touches my wrist, clinging to me. She wants this just as badly as I do.
