Page 135 of Wings So Wicked

My entire stomach heated with a foreign fire.

I had to fight back a laugh. Feeling Wolf’s…desire, it felt so vulnerable and wrong.

And I wanted to feelmore.

I pushed away enough to twist around in the coverage of his wings and slide my leg over his lap until I straddled him.

Another roll of fire lit up my body as I settled onto him.

“You’re playing a very dangerous game,” Wolf whispered.

I adjusted my hips on his. “Good,” I murmured, lowering my forehead to his. “I’ve always liked danger.”

Wolf’s hands slid to the top of my thighs. He still hesitated, still held back.

I could feel how much he wanted more of this, could feel the raw desire burning in his bones.

“Stop holding back,” I whispered, grinding my hips again.

Wolf’s fingertips dug into my skin as he moaned. “I can’t.”

“Yes, you can. I can feel how much you want to.” I slid a hand down his chest, feeling the trail of desire in my body as if we were one.

But with it came another insatiable craving. Mixed with the lust and the fire, it was hard to identify, but it was there.

The craving for blood.

Since we had been in this forest, we ate meat from a rabbit Wolf caught, but that didn’t come close to subsidingthishunger.

I sat up but didn’t leave his lap.

“Wolf,” I said, looking into his eyes. “You need to feed.”

His jaw tightened, and his teeth clenched. Desire crashed through my body.

“Stop reminding me.”

I didn’t know what the fuck I was thinking. I wasn’t thinking straight, that much was certain. It was no longer Wolf and I as separate individuals fighting for the same outcome. Lines were blurred somewhere, boundaries were crossed.

Wolf’s hunger became my hunger.

Logically, IknewI hated vampyres. IknewI should hate Wolf.

But physically, I craved for him to feed just as badly as he craved it himself.

I gripped his chin and forced his eyes to mine. “Feed, Wolf.” He tried to look away, but I gripped his face tighter.

“No, I’m not leaving you here in hopes of finding a fae before something—”

My blood froze. Time stopped. Everything disappeared except Wolf and I together in this forest.

“Feed from me.”

Chapter

Thirty-Six

Wolf shoved me from his lap and crawled out of reach, pausing with his back to me a few feet away, but I could feel the way his body reacted to my words. He craved me like a starving animal, finally on the verge of relief.
