“I want to fuck you so hard…” Tension in his voice had me opening my eyes. He was holding back. Did he think he'd hurt me? Did he think I didn’t want this?

“No one is stopping you.”

He moved my legs to his shoulders and gripped my hips. “I don’t know that I can wait for you.”

Sure, I wanted to come again, but his words… the rough, urgency of them intrigued me more. I wanted to watch this big, sweet, gentle man let go and give in to his desires. I wanted to see on his face what fucking me did to him. I wanted it more than my own orgasm.

“Don’t wait. Fuck me. Come inside me.”

He let out a feral growl as he withdrew and plunged in, the desk shifting again.

“More,” I insisted.

He did it again, faster, and again, harder, and again and again.

“Fuck… I’m gonna come.” His head reared back as he drove in.

Pleasure rocketed through my body. I arched, wanting to take him deeper as wave after wave ripped through me. He fucked me fast and hard, filling me with warmth. Eventually, his movements slowed, decreased in intensity, and yet his dick continued to pulse inside me. Eventually, he collapsed over me.

“Fucking hell,” he said on a harsh breath. “You undo me.”

My heart thumped hard. And then panic filled me. Those were words said between a couple. That wasn’t what we were. It wasn’t something we could be. I didn’t want that. This was supposed to be just sex.

“Are you okay?” He lifted his head to look at me. “You seem tense, and not in an aroused sort of way.”

“I’m fine.”

He arched a brow. “You don’t act like a woman who just had her mind blown.”

“I’m fine.” I pressed my hands against his chest, feeling too cozy, too intimate with him so close, still seeped inside me.

He stepped back. “Boy, that was fast.” He yanked up his jeans.

What was he talking about?

“My dick isn’t even deflated yet and the ice queen is back.”

His words hurt even though he was right. Even though they meant I’d get my way and he wouldn’t read anything more into this moment than two people having a physical release.

I slid from the desk, putting my pants back on. “Your sensitivity is showing again.”

His eyes flashed with pain, and I hated myself for being such a bitch. He shook his head. “Is it me you’re afraid of?”

Yes.

“I’m not afraid of anything, especially not you.”

“So you work this hard to keep everyone out?”

No. I didn’t have to work hard to keep people out. Only Duncan. “I told you, I don’t want?—”

“We fucked, Veronica! That’s it.”

The boom of his voice echoed through the room.

He shook his head and let out a sigh. In a calmer voice, he said, “I’m not trying to make this thing between us real. You’re not what Aiden and I need.”

His words were like a slap. Of course, he was right. Duncan and Aiden wanted and needed a woman who wanted to love and cherish them. To give herself to them and their happiness. That woman wasn’t me.
