I get up and head for the door. "I don't know about you, but I'm going after her."
I don't have to look back to hear them get out of their seats and follow my lead.

CHARLIE
Irake my fingers through my hair, tugging it up into a hair tie as I tell myself, "This is what you need to do. It's the right thing to do."
What happened in the conference room... I never should have let that happen. I let my desires get the best of me.
Still, the memory of their touch, the ghost of their kisses, all of it lingers on my skin with the longing for more.
"No!" I scold myself out of frustration.
Why the hell can't I get a hold of myself? I'm not some slut who lets three men fuck her. I'm not a gold digger, I'm not trying to climb the ladder. What the hell is wrong with me?
You care about them, a little voice whispers.
"Charlie! Charlie, slow down!" Caleb's voice sends shivers down my spine.
I force my legs to keep carrying me down the hall toward the safety of my room.
"Come on, Charlie!" Leo calls out.
This time, I do look back. All three of the guys are jogging after me, each with equally determined expressions. I know exactly what that means--and I don't stop walking because of it.
A hand on my wrist forces me to stop and turn around, coming face to face with the three beautiful men I've been denying my unstoppable attraction to.
"Please," Jackson pants when I open my mouth. "Just... listen, okay?"
I purse my lips, suddenly not trusting myself to speak when I can so clearly see the look in his eye.
The look that Jackson gives me is one of intensity and vulnerability, as if he's baring his soul for me to see. His eyes, usually so guarded, now glisten with a mix of hope and desperation. I can't help but feel a pang of sympathy deep within my chest.
Caleb steps forward, his voice soft but filled with determination. "We understand that what happened in the conference room was unexpected," he says, his gaze never leaving mine. "But we can't deny the connection we all feel."
Leo nods in agreement, his dark curls falling gently over his forehead. "We've been trying to fight it, Charlie," he admits, his voice tinged with sincerity. "But it's impossible to ignore the way our hearts race whenever we're near you."
A whirlwind of emotions swirls within me as I listen to their words. Confusion mingles with desire, while doubts wage war against the undeniable pull I feel towards each of them. The logical part of me wants to say that they're only saying that to get me under them. But... the intensity in their eyes captures my attention, as well as my heart.
Caleb steps closer, his hand gently brushing against mine, sending a warm jolt through my body. The touch is gentle yet possessive, as if he's silently staking his claim on me. His eyes meet mine, filled with a mixture of longing and understanding.
His voice breaks my contemplative silence, his words coated with sincerity. "We're more than willing to investigate everything that you brought us. The mole, the leaked information--all of it."
"But," Jackson cuts in, "that doesn't mean that we're willing to ignore what happened or what we feel."
Leo nods, his normally easy going demeanor replaced by a more serious one. "He's right, Charlie. We can't move forward without addressing the connection we all feel."
I feel the weight of their words settle upon me, enveloping me with a sense of urgency. These men, who have somehow found their way into my heart, now stand before me with open hearts of their own.
"We want to be with you," Caleb says softly, taking my hand in his. "Just give us a chance. Let us show you that this means something to us... that you mean something to us."
I stand there, my mind racing as I absorb the gravity of the situation. The proposal laid before me isn't just about loyalty to my job or the potential impact on our professional dynamic. It's about acknowledging my own desires for once, and confronting the undeniable connection that has been simmering beneath the surface this entire time.
My heart pounds in her chest, the weight of their words settling over me like a heavy cloak. They're more than just colleagues, more than just wards in need of protection; they are men who have somehow found their way into my heart. And as much as I've wanted to deny it, I can't ignore the pull that tugs at me every time they're near.
"I..." I begin, my eyes skipping between each of their gazes. "I don't know. It wouldn't be right. You're my-"
