Page 64 of Love on the Line

She slid back on the bed and he positioned himself above her, braced on his elbows.

His shaft pressed against her entrance, right below the tight bundle of nerves at her sex.

He penetrated her slowly, stretching her until he filled her completely. She wrapped her legs around him, and his eyes flashed. Gripping his back, she dug her fingers into the hard muscles as he began to thrust in and out.

Yes. Wyatt inside of her. Nothing had ever felt more right. She clung to him and matched his rhythm as he increased the pace. Giving all of herself, she held nothing back. Caught up in a whirlwind of pleasure, their moans mixed, and the room spun around her. Pure heat consumed her body, and all that existed was her connection to Wyatt. At one with him.

Her climax came hard and strong, like when two fronts clashed in a high-powered storm. She clutched him, and he went rigid, threw his head back, and let out a deep groan at his own release. Her insides rhythmically squeezed his fullness as she catapulted into another realm.

Wyatt hugged her to him and spun over to lie on his back. They both sucked in air, chests thumping against each other.

Her limp body melded on top of his as she collapsed into a sated puddle. Good God, she never knew sex could be like that. She could spend the rest of her life exploring the options.

The rest of her life?

She closed her eyes as Wyatt’s heartbeat blended with hers. Caring, strong, and giving, he was everything she’d ever hoped for in a partner. She hadn’t meant to fall in love, but it had snuck up on her, and now the reality struck her. She was in deep.

Her body still tingled, and her brain only functioned at half-speed, but the way he’d looked at her when they’d made love gave her hope. If he felt anywhere near the emotions she did, they’d somehow work things out. She snuggled against him as he stroked her hair and rubbed her back.

“So, you like that rooftop deck, huh?” Wyatt shifted, propping his head on his elbow.

She gave a quick nod. “I bet you can see a million stars from up there.”

He nuzzled her neck and tugged at the blanket. “How about we take this up there and I’ll make you see a million stars…with your eyes shut.”

Like she could say no to that.

Anne blinked at the sunlight streaming through the crack of the bedroom curtains. With her head on Wyatt’s shoulder and a leg across his stomach, she couldn’t get any closer to him. Heat radiated from his body, all muscles and hard planes. Her thigh tingled against his skin, reminding her that his every touch sent her into orbit.

“Hey sleepyhead.” He stroked her back and kissed the top of her head. “I didn’t want to wake you, but we have to get going.”

“Hmm…” She’d rather stay wrapped in his arms. “Does this weekend ever have to end?”

He squeezed her and laughed. “Not on my account. We can pick this up back at home.”

“Now that sounds nice.” He might be turning her into a sex fiend. They’d made love multiple times, and she still wanted him again.

“I have to admit, you surprised me.”

She gazed up at him. “How?”

“I thought you might be shy, but you were nothing short of amazing.”

Her heart expanded, and his words boosted her confidence. “It’s all you, Wyatt. I’ve never felt like this before.”

“Well it works for me.” He rubbed his thumb along her chin.

His erection pressed into her leg, and she arched an eyebrow. “Oh? Are we—”

“We don’t have time.” Regret laced his voice. He dropped his hand and eased away. “It’s close to checkout. But we will pick this up later.”

The spark in his eye turned her knees soft. “Well, alrighty then.”

After they packed up, Wyatt unplugged his phone from the charger and paused, staring down at it.

“What’s wrong?” Anne asked.

“I missed a call last night.” A ghost of a frown outlined his mouth.

“Was it important?”

He raised his eyes to hers and sucked in a breath. “I’ll know in a minute.”
