"Always," I answer as I stand.

"Harlow," Brady gives her a nod.

"See you two around," she says as she winks at me.

Brady whisks me onto the dance floor and twirls me. I throw my head back and laugh as he yanks me back to him.

"This feels good," he says as he holds me tight.

"What does?"

We sway back and forth as music floats through the air. "Showing you off."

I bite my lower lip. "Yeah?"

"I was such a fool, Iz."

"In the words of Jane Austen, 'We're all fools in love'."

"You're something else," he stares down at me intensely.

"I feel the same way about you."

"Did you ever..." he trails off.

"Did I ever what?"

"Think about me," his face hardens. "When you were with Steve."

I cup his cheek in my hand. "Every day."

"Every day?" he repeats.

"Every day, Brady," I confirm.

He smiles before pressing his forehead to mine. "I thought about you every hour."

"Really?"

"For twelve years straight," he confesses, "at least 24 times a day. I thought about you all three years we were together and all nine after you were gone."

"When should we tell people we're engaged?" I ask as we sway slowly to the music.

"When you're ready," Brady answers.

"I'd like to keep it quiet until I get that rental up the street from my parents," I say.

"You and Brianna can move in with me," he reminds me.

"I don't know," I shake my head. "Your mom is there and I don't want to make things harder on her. I also don't want to confuse Brianna."

He tucks a blond strand of hair behind my ear. "Is there a place for me in this rental?"

I place my hand on his chest right over his heart. "Yes."

"I'm all for the rental," Brady assures me, "but would you come see my house first? My mom would love to have people around. She won't remember your name, but she'd be glad to see someone's face other than mine."

"I haven't thought much about how Brianna might feel," I swallow hard.
