“Now you can see why no other person in this world—this entire universe—will ever touch you the way I do.”

That’s when we shed every ounce of control we had. His body fell onto mine as we became lost in each other's mouths and hands. His thrusts were chaotic but so were mine. Every movement felt like we were gasping for air. Gasping for one another.

Somehow, I ended up on top of him with his hands gripping my ass tightly, halting my movement over him. His eyes softened slightly as we pulled back from our frantic grips on each other.

“I don’t think you understand just how in love I am with you. If something were to ever happen to you—”

I leaned over pressing a soft kiss into his delicious pouty mouth. “Nothing will happen to me.”

His eyes gleamed for me as he whispered, “Good. Because one day when our world calms the fuck down, I’m gonna stop taking my tonic.”

I looked at him curiously, halting my movement.

He smiled with his dimple popping out slightly, “One day we will be ready for tiny versions of us in this world. But I’m not ready for that right now. For now, we practice a fucking ton because I can’t keep my hands off of you.”

My insides were on fire from what he had just told me. He wanted me to have his babies, and I was completely okay with that. I was glad we were on the same page that it shouldn't be anytime soon. I was enjoying this far too much for that.

“Now be a good girl and ride my dick,” he spoke in a low tone that sent chills down my spine.

Chapter 42

The awkward staring that was happening between Luke and me was obvious even to the most oblivious people in the world of Darthium. He and I didn't do anything at all, yet somehow I feel like we did.

"You should go talk to him," Ev said behind me, which made me jump slightly. Everyone was having their morning tea, which was so kindly packed by Mia. She apparently couldn't go anywhere without it.

I had folded the sheet in my hand at least ten times. I didn't even know where the corners were anymore. Ev's hands wrapped around mine, stopping my folding and pulling my attention to his concerned face. "Seriously. You need to go talk to him."

I rolled my eyes and shoved the blanket into his hands, "Fine. I'll go."

I quickly turned around grabbing Ev's wrist, which was already in motion to slap my ass. He smirked as I said, "No spanking today." I let go of his hand and winked at himbefore I walked directly toward Luke. Ready to get this dreaded conversation over.

His eyes widened when he noticed my approach. "Morning. How are you?" I asked quietly.

He stopped what he was doing and looked at me with his crystal blue eyes with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "I'm good. You?"

I sighed, tilting my head in a frustrated expression. "Seriously. How are you?"

This time when he looked at me, I felt this strange flutter of power pulling at me. Something new.

"We should talk," Luke said.

"Okay, then let's talk," I replied.

He gripped my hand, "Not here. We can't talk here. Follow me."

Quickly I was jolted toward the edge of the woods away from the others. I could feel Ev's eyes burning into me. Letting me know that he was watching and listening. Once we stepped a few yards within the trees, Luke stopped, dropping our hands and standing with his back to me.

"Luke, what is going on?"

I saw his shoulders sigh with relief as I spoke, "Clara. I— I need."

When he turned around, I could see the blue flames around his irises. Burning.

"I shouldn't have been listening last night. I shouldn't have, but I—"

I stepped toward him and held his hands in mine tugging slightly, "It's okay, Luke. It was just a momentary thing."

His eyes dropped to the ground and then looked back to me with a slightly cooled expression, "I'm tied to you. We're all tied to you. But not in the way you think."
