The temperature shot up a few degrees as Charlie kissed her fated mate properly and all her worries melted away. Everything would work itself out over time as long as Eve and her put in the work in their relationship.

Charlie smiled. If she learned one thing from working with cars, it was that everything could be fixed with enough time, patience, and perseverance. And luckily, it seemed both her and Eve had that in spades.

She pulled back, her lips still tingling from the kiss. “Shall we? I don’t want to leave your parents waiting.”

Eve’s entire face lit up. “You won’t say that when you try Dad’s pumpkin soup. He’s been trying to make good soup all winter. I don’t know how he does it but spoiler alert, it’s horrendous.”

“I don’t mind. I’ll sit through bad soup for you,” Charlie said as she took Eve’s hand in hers. “I’ll do anything for you.”

“Oh, good, because I heard the offices at the garage could use tidying again,” Eve teased.

“Not a chance.”

Eve’s laughter made Charlie’s chest flutter. She had never expected to find someone as perfect as Eve and she thanked the Moon Goddess for her blessing every time her adorable fated mate’s smile made the world a brighter place.

No, Charlie never expected to find something or someone she liked more than cars until she met delightfully cheeky Eve and her zest for life. It was everything Charlie had ever wanted and so much more.
