“It’s called a quickie,” he grumbled.

“You don’t know how to do quickies,” I threw back as I scrambled to my knees and reached for my underwear and dress.

His so-called quickies always turned into extended sessions of spanking, other kinky foreplay, and multiple orgasms. His smug smirk made me roll my eyes.

“Get dressed,” I told him. “Unless you want the whole family to see you in all your naked glory.”

With a sigh, he got to his feet and dressed. I glanced around my new office space, ensuring there was no evidence of what we’d just done. The caterers and the entire family would arrive for my office-warming party soon. Elliot and I arrived early and got caught up in our own celebration. I eyed him with a smile.

“What?” he asked, tucking his shirt into his pants.

“Every time I sit in this office, I’m going to remember how we broke in the new carpet.”

His sexy laugh echoed in the open, furniture-less space. He then gave me a once-over hot enough to melt off the panties I’d just put back on. “When the furniture arrives next week, we can break in your new desk… and chairs.”

“Oh, my gosh,” I moaned, feeling heat spread into my face.

My husband was insatiable, and I loved it. A year later and I couldn’t get enough of him either. As we tidied up and made final adjustments to our appearances, the excitement for the office-warming party bubbled inside me.

I decided not to delay starting my business much longer. As Elliot said, it wasn’t like I had to worry about the money. “You’re a Westwood, just go for it,” he’d said. “I know you can do it.”

That encouragement from one of the best businessmen in the world was the catalyst that jolted me into action. In just one week, I’d start on my first project: Elliot’s hotel which was already under construction. We’d start marketing and pushing the brand so that by the time it was finished, there would already be a buzz around it.

My brother-in-law, Damian, also expressed interest in using my particular flair to advertise a few special projects that he had in mind for his private security firm. My marketing firm hadn’t even started properly, but I already had two of the biggest companies in the country under my belt. Talk about starting off with a bang…

The door opened and Julian, April’s husband, stuck his head in. I laughed because his eyes were closed as he asked, “Is it safe to come in?”

“Why wouldn’t it be?” Elliot asked.

Julian’s eyes popped open and zeroed in on us. “Because I know what April and I would be doing if she had a new office. Nothing like breaking in?—”

“Julian,”April reprimanded. She swatted his arm and brushed past him to step inside… Well, more like waddled. Her six-month pregnant belly was the biggest I’d ever seen. Julian and Elliot exchanged knowing smirks. My man got along famously with all the guys in the family.

Seconds later, the caterers came in and started setting up. It wasn’t a big function, just a small celebration with family. Lucy, Nic, Damian, Cassandra, and Tessa filtered in. There were hugs and kisses all around and Lucy gushed about how great the place looked.

Congratulations and well wishes circulated just as Ben and his wife, Jessa, popped in. “Are we late?” he asked.

“We’re just getting started,” I said, excitedly waving them over.

As we ate, chatted, and laughed, questions about my plans for the place were thrown around.

“Knowing, Ruby, she’ll outgrow this place and need a bigger office in two years tops,” Elliot said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. As I blushed under his compliment, he kissed my forehead. There was nothing like a supportive partner to make a girl melt.

“I’ll drink to that,” Cass said, giving me a wink.

I was so happy I could burst. My relationship with Elliot strengthened every day, my family was growing, and I was living out my dream. I looked around the room with a face-splitting grin.

When the guys separated from us to talk about whatever guys talked about, my sisters, Jessa, and I chatted about the kids.

“It’s sweet of your friends Eleanor and Alfred to babysit our kids,” Lucy said. “And Jane is there to help with my fussy six-month-old. I was worried about you being so far away from us, Ruby, but you’ve got a great support system here.”

I laughed. “Eleanor, Alfred, and Jane are in grandparents’ heaven right now.”

April chuckled and rubbed her swollen belly.

“Are you and Elliot considering children anytime soon?” Jessa asked.

I blew out a breath and glanced over my shoulder at Elliot who was listening intently to something Damian was saying. “We talked about it. We’ve decided to wait a couple of years at least. I’ll be busy getting my business off the ground, and he’s super busy, too”
