Her incessant yapping had driven him from his own home. How sad was that? Luckily, he’d managed to get her a doctor’s appointment for the end of the week. Hopefully, he’d be able to figure out if the baby was his or not and give him some idea as to how long he was stuck with her.

He parked his bike and entered the clubhouse, heading straight for the bar. He ordered a shot and a beer. He tossed the shot back and signaled the prospect, Miles, for another. He tossed that back and finally felt the vise around his chest ease the slightest little bit.

“Tuck! Come shoot some pool!” Tulsa waved him toward the pool tables where he was currently playing Chris.

Why the hell not? He needed to do something that didn’t involve thinking about Taylor and how she was once again trying to fuck with his life. “Sure.

“You can play winner,” Chris told him as he lined up his shot.

“How’s it goin’?” Tulsa asked.

“Been a helluva lot better.” Tuck tipped his bottle back, enjoying the taste of the cold brew. He’d get shit-faced drunk and crash here tonight if he thought he could trust Taylor to be alone in his house for very long. Hell, she was just conniving enough to change the locks on him.

Well, shit. He couldn’t stay here unless he crashed in someone else’s room. He’d given his to Kylie and he seriously doubted she’d want to share a bed with him right now.

“Heard Taylor showed up on your doorstep.” Chris took aim at a striped ball and sank it in the corner pocket.

“Bad news travels fast,” he mumbled.

“Is she really pregnant?” Tulsa asked from beside him.

Apparently Race had filled them in. He was sure they’d probably wanted an explanation as to why Kylie was there crying her eyes out. “Yeah. She’s definitely pregnant.”

Chris sank the last ball and collected his winnings from Tulsa. He racked the balls and motioned for Tuck to break them. He sank more solid than stripes so it looked like he was solids. He lined up his shot and sank one in the side pocket. He moved around the table and lined up his next shot, aiming for the corner pocket.

“Hear the news?” Tulsa asked him.

“What news?”

“Kylie moved in with Darren.” Tulsa’s announcement had Tuck scratching and missing his shot. He straightened and faced Tulsa. “The fuck you say?”

“Kylie moved in with Darren.” Tuck didn’t know what expression was on his face, but Tulsa hurried to add, “She can’t go to her sister’s or a hotel because it’s not safe. With Taylor at your place, that’s out.”

“Yeah. She told the old ladies she would stay on her couch in her office here, but they told her no way she wanted to do that. So Darren told her she could move in with him. She’d be safe,” Chris added.

“I told Race to give her my room.” Tuck frowned, his grip on his pool stick tightening.

“Like I said, the old ladies were looking out for her and didn’t think it was a good idea for her to stay here,” Tulsa replied.

“Do you really want her around a bunch of horny single guys who like to fuck in the open?” Chris added.

Tuck barely heard the rest of what they were saying as he stormed off down the hall in search of Darren. He’d seen his bike out front when he pulled in so his room was the first place Tuck would check. He tried the handle, found it unlocked and let himself inside without knocking. Tori was in the process of pulling her clothes back on. Upon seeing him, she smiled wide.

“Hey, Tuck. How’s it going?”

“Fine. Darren here?”

About that time the bathroom door opened and Darren stepped out wrapped in a towel, using another one to dry his hair. Steam billowed out behind him. “Tuck? You need something?”

“Yeah. Tori babe, can you give us a minute?”

“Sure.” Fully dressed except for her shoes, she picked them up and scurried off, closing the door behind her.

“Well this is awkward. You wanna give me a minute to put some clothes on so my dick’s not swinging?”

Tuck scowled at him, yanked the door open and stepped into the hall, leaving the door open and allowed Darren to get dressed.

“All right. Dick’s put away. Now what do you need?”
