Unfortunately, shortly after she and Romeo had mated, she learned that her apartment had been set on fire, the whole building going up. No one was hurt, but everything had been lost in her unit. She was certain it was a message from Brent, but no one had seen hide nor hair of him since he’d sent his people to try to abduct the kids.
He’d gone underground, finally, as she’d suspected. But how long would he stay there, and what would he do when he surfaced? Her best guess was that he’d go after the wolves, but the tigers were going to keep their security tight and watch for him to slink out of the shadows.
A week ago, she and Romeo had flown to LA so she could visit Kerry’s grave. While she was in town, she hadn’t seen her parents, because they’d said they didn’t want to speak to her again since she was so keen on blaming them for everything, so she’d gone with Romeo to meet the alpha of the wolf pack so she could apologize in person. He’d been gracious to her and assured her he forgave her for the misunderstanding that had led to Duncan’s death.
It had been a relief to be forgiven, a weight lifted off her shoulders that only atonement could grant.
And now, here she was, about to officially mate Romeo and join the ambush, plus get married. Considering she’d started with a heart full of hate for shifters and ended with the most amazing male as her truemate? She’d definitely say that her life had changed for the better since coming to Whisper Creek.
Good things happened in Cleveland.
She was proof of that.
Smiling at her reflection, she walked out of the room and through the house, stopping at the sliding door where Midas stood.
“You look lovely, Ashley,” he said, offering her his hand as she stepped over the threshold.
“Thank you.” She looked up at him. “Thank you for everything.”
“You’re welcome. You deserve all the good things.”
She hooked her hand over his arm and walked along the deck with him.
“With Romeo, I haveeverygood thing.”
She met her mate’s gaze as he stood under an arbor of pine boughs and roses, the ambush on their feet as she made her way down the aisle with the tiger king.
This was the first chapter of their lives together, and whatever the future brought, she was certain they could face it together.
The former anti-shifter spy and the tiger.
Good things certainly did happen in Cleveland.

Her parents happen to know someone in Ashland willing to let Lyric stay with them during the interview process. What she wants is to get the job. What she doesn’t expect? To find not one mate, but two.
Mountain lion shifters Elliott and Evan Fallon have been working for the Ashland police department from the moment they graduated from the police academy. They both love keeping the humans and shifters in the sleepy town of Ashland safe.
