Lucca rubs my back. “You know, they say sex helps.”

I smack him. “We had that this morning and now look at me.” I laugh and wince in pain.

“I guess, I don’t have a magic cock after all. Sorry, baby.”

“No, but your fingers are magic at the moment. This feels amazing. I’m gonna fall asleep soon.”

He kisses my forehead. “Get some sleep. I’ll check on you later.”

That’s the last thing I remember. Being here was the right decision. I know Lucca will protect me, but I also need answers of who the fuck is delivering body parts.

Dealing with those bodyguards was not on my list of things to do, but I needed to deal with them. I’ve been torturing them for a couple of days now, getting nowhere. One can only lose so many digits before they squeal. Yet those two wouldn’t answer the one question everyone was itching to know. Why the fuck did they move away from Charlie’s front door? Either they are working with the rat or with the prick that was delivering the message to me. This morning I finally had enough and placed a bullet between their eyes. Luckily for me, dead men can’t speak. Whoever they were working for won’t know what happened to them. Those that decide to turn on me will see the message loud and clear. Either stand with me or you’re dead. End of fucking discussion.

Sitting in my office I’m listening to Rett and Nico discuss how to find Colin. My mind keeps wondering away from me. I try to keep up with their non-stop chatter, but let’s be real here. It’s a bunch of bullshit they keep spewing.

“Seriously, Rett, we need to do it my way. Or it’s not going to work. I think I know a thing or two about fucking computers.”

Rett lets out a grunt. “Last I checked, I can hack into shit better. It’s Tony and me that can do it.”

“For fuck’s sake. You aredrivingme up the goddamn wall.”

That’s when I tune them out.

Charlie has been at my place for the last couple of days. She freaks out at the mention of her place. I can’t complain having her near me feels right. Ada has grown closer to her, creating her own bond. I’m grateful that they get along. I don’t know what I would do if Ada didn’t like Charlie. The thing is my child comes first. Thank God I didn’t have to worry about that. I had more pressing matters to worry about. Like one mysterious Colin Thompson. We haven’t heard from him since his message was delivered. I’m still trying to figure out how I would possibly know who he is. Nothing is making sense to me. We recovered the security camera files, but every time this Colin’s ass entered the building, he kept his face down. There is something similar to how he walked. I couldn’t place it except I’ve seen it before.

Reaching Vincent has come to a dead end. When I stopped by his place last week, no one has seen him, not very helpful. His household staff was always pathetic. I told him multiple times to replace them. They were growing older. I swear one couldn’t even remember who I was even after telling him my name a few times. With that in mind, they probably couldn’t remember jack shit either way. He was probably home yesterday. They just couldn’t remember. I need a clue that I’m on the right track here.

A loud crash brings me out of my thoughts. “Will you listen to me? I’ve been over this a thousand times!” Nico yells, his palms flat on the desk.

“I’ve told you, not happening. This is a horrible plan.”

What the fuck did I miss. I sit up straighter in my chair. “What the fuck is happening?” I ask.

“Thisfiglio di puttanahere doesn’t think my plan is good enough. Which I know it is. I thought it over. It’ll work.” Nico paces around the room, getting more agitated with Rett for shooting his plan down.

“What plan?”

Rett scoffs. “The one where he goes undercover.”

“Undercover? Where? What the hell are you trying to say, Nico?” I questioned him.

Nico squared his shoulders. “The only way to get information is to go undercover in the gang.”

“The fuck!” I roar, “Are you insane. That’s suicide. I won’t allow it.” My chair topples over when I stand suddenly.

“Listen to me for a second. The gangs here know everything. How else will we figure everything out? I’m willing to do anything that is fitting for my family.”

“Nico, no. I’ll find another way. As your capo, I deny it.”

A muscle in his jaw twitches, but he kept his mouth shut. Smart on his end I would’ve shut it for him. I love Nico. He’s always been the one to jump feet first into anything without thinking. It’s one thing I admire about him the most. I wish he would use his fucking brain sometimes. Like this time.

“Promise me you won’t do anything rash.”

“I promise,” he swears. His hands behind his back.

Rett can only shake his head, guaranteed seeing that he has his fingers crossed. The only one that can somewhat control his wild side is Antonio. He’s currently out looking for a new supplier for us. He’ll have his hands full for a couple of hours at least. Then I’ll throw Nico at him. I can’t deal with his shit right now.

“Have we figured anything out with Vincent yet?” I look between them both.
