I felt like I was going to be sick.
That fucking bastard. I was going to kill him even if it was the last thing I did.
I’d always believed that Francesco had a personal vendetta against Don Borelli. One that stretched beyond money and power. But to think that he would stoop so low to…
The more I thought about all of this, the worse it got.
My thoughts spiraled into a whirlwind of revulsion and despair. I wished I could return to ignorance, continue to be blind and keep the truth hidden under a dark veil.
The only thing good in this entire fucked up story was…
I looked down at King,Marcelo.
I reached out and gently trailed a finger down his cheek.
I foundthemagain.
I’d dreamed about this moment for so long and they were here right in front of me all this time, without me even being aware of it.
Reluctantly, I pulled my hand away.
But I still had to leave. Staying in this house was dangerous.
I wasn’t sure how the Don would react if I told him —Hey, so I know that I tried to kill you and that you now want me dead, but surprise! I’m actually your long-lost daughter!
Yeah, I didn’t think that would go on so well.
Who knew if that part was even true?
Maybe he had gotten me confused with someone else.
But that wasn’t the most important part, anyhow. The one thing I knew for certain was that I found Marcello, Alessio and Virgil again.
A bittersweet longing clung to my heart. My dreams of reuniting with them had come true, but the circumstances threatened to tear us apart once more.
Maybe… I should wait for a little while longer before using the plane tickets. I could hide out somewhere and try to figure out what the next course of action should be.
I settled in next to King and wrapped my arms around him, closing my eyes.
I believed in what my boys had promised me earlier — everything would be alright.

I decided against telling the guys the truth about who I was. It was a painful choice, but one that I made out of necessity.
If I told them, I didn’t think I would have found it in myselfto leave.
The smartest thing to do now was to spend some time away and try to get used to all the revelations from the night before. I hoped that they would still be waiting for me when I came back.
If they didn’t, then… what was a couple of more years of waiting between us?
When I heard the guys arrive home, I jumped to my feet.
“How did it go? Did he buy it?”
Ace maintained a serious expression for a few seconds, and just as I started to get scared, a large grin spread across his face. “Hell yeah, he bought it!”
I felt like I could cry out of relief, but instead of doing that, I let out a maniacal laugh and jumped on him.
