Page 129 of Unravelling The Beast

I clench my teeth, wanting to tear her a fucking part and shout at her for doing this to us.

She suddenly decides to speak after a while of uncomfortable silence between us.

"You need to leave!"

I detect panic in her voice, which confuses me, but I stand straighter while elevating my chin before I respond calmly.

"I'm not going fucking anywhere."

She throws the duvet off of her, revealing her sexy red nightdress, and when she swings her legs off the edge of the bed, she stands and storms towards me, her brown eyes filled with rage.

She pushes hard on my chest when she gets close enough, attempting to move me, but I don't move a fucking muscle.

"Get the fuck out!"

She pushes again, frustration and tears welling up in her eyes, and I just stare at her.

“GET THE FUCK OUT!”

She screamed at me that time, a single tear rolling down her cheek, but she'll fucking understand I'm not going anywhere.

"Why won't you fucking listen to me?"

I snap aggressively, my eyes gleaming with fury as I shout and throw my hands in the air.

"Did you fucking listen to me?"

When she realizes how angry I am, her body stiffens instantly.

"Did you listen to me when I said I'm not marrying that cunt? Did you listen to me when I said, I'm not fucking losing this?"

I point at her and declare with clenched teeth.

"You want to talk about listening when you fucking don't listen at all!"

As she chooses to stay silent, I continue on my rant while she stares at me with teary eyes.

"Do you have any idea what the fuck you've done? Do you even give a shit, like you said? Was it all a fucking lie when you said you wanted more from and with me?"

Her eyes stay fixed on me, her mind racing, and she speaks softly.

"Of course not."

"Then what the fuck, Wren?"

She closes her eyes in response to my verbal fury, but it's all spilling out now, and I can't stop or control it. I'm not holding it well, and the frustration and hurt are causingmy body to vibrate. She needs to know exactly how I'm feeling.

When she opens her eyes, she turns away from me.

"It's complicated."

"No shit!"

Her eyes quickly find mine, and she narrows them.

"It's not because of me! It's because of you and your crazy fucking family!"

I scoff and look away.
