Chapter 31

Nico

I don’t often sit at the head of the table, but I called the meeting, so it’s up to me to run it. Eight days ago, a woman came to our office, and since then we’ve been turned upside down. Nothing has really gotten done.

Ty is the last in the room. He closes the door behind him. I glance over at the “mirror” on the wall as he sits down.

My cock twitches thinking about watching Alyssa on that first day. She’s the reason I had to call this meeting. We need to come to a decision about her. Now, before anything more happens.

I clear my throat and eleven heads turn to me. I don’t like being the center of attention. Usually, I’m the one in the back, moving things along. I like quietly keeping our business on track, while staying out of the spotlight.

“You may have guessed why I brought you all together this morning.” I begin.

“Because you’re worried that we’ve spent the last week fucking Alyssa and not getting shit done?” Finn calls from his place halfway down the table.

“Come on man. Project Partridge is done and ready to go. Why do we even have employees if we aren’t going to lean on them when there is something more interesting to do?” He finishes, eyes rolling. This is a conversation Finn and I have all the time.

“Actually Finn, everything is on track and I can’t see any reason for the twelve of us to do anymore work through the New Year. Unless anyone has any brilliant ideas for Valentines?” I throw out. Sometimes, Ford is quietly sitting on something and I might as well take the opportunity to check in with him. Ford shakes his head, so I continue.

“Also, I wanted to talk about Alyssa.”

Finn’s eyebrows raise, in fact most of my friends seem a little shocked. I don’t normally want to talk about women. I enjoy them, sometimes more than my colleagues, but I don’t talk about it. I was raised that a gentleman never kisses and tells.

“I know you’re all shocked, but I really do.” I take a deep breath.

As much as I like having control over a woman when I am fucking her, I hate taking control with my friends and business partners. I know that I have to; if I don’t step in now, we might lose her by doing something stupid.

“Alyssa is special.” I begin. Eleven shocked faces agree with me. “I don’t know what you were expecting. I think that what has been happening has been…” I trail off. I don’t know how to finish that sentence. I had my whole spiel prepared but now, just talking about her, I lose my train of thought.

She’s so beautiful, and sexy, and smart. There doesn't seem to be a word that encompasses how I feel about the last week.

“Fucking amazing?” Ethan supplies.

“I was trying to think of something more appropriate.” I answer.

“Dude, ‘Fucking amazing’ is probably the most appropriate thing that has ever been said in this conference room.” Simon says. “You fucked her in a hot air balloon. I’m pretty sure fucking amazing is the only way to describe the past week.”

He does have a point.

“Fine. Fucking amazing.” I continue.

They’re right; there isn’t any other way to capture the time we’ve spent with Alyssa. We’ve shared a plethora of women over the years, and none have ever captured my cock and my mind with the same intensity Alyssa has.

I know my friends feel the same way. I’m just hoping that they also have developed deeper feelings for her. I know I have, and what I’m about to propose to them will only work if they feel the same way I do.

“The past week has been ‘Fucking amazing’ and I don’t want it to stop.” Agreeing nods and murmurs encourage me to continue. “I don’t want to lose her. I want to keep her in our lives.”

My heart is racing. Alyssa is running through my head. I haven’t been able to think of anything but her since I watched her fuck herself silly on the other side of that wall. My heart races and my cock throbs just thinking about her perfect ass and her quick mind.

“Yesterday, we told her something she didn’t want to hear, and she left.” Easton’s face falls and he looks down at the table. “I think that was good. I, for one, realized when she slammed that door how much she means to me. Anyone else?”

Eleven agreements. I’m so relieved. I know the others were falling for her too, but I was afraid. I was so scared they weren’t on the same page, I didn’t want to have to choose between my friends and my business, and her.

“Good, then I have an idea. I want to bring Alyssa on here at True Love.” There it is, the thing I wanted to say.

“She’s overqualified, even for one of our assistants.” Finn jumps out of his chair interrupting me. “And besides, they never stay. I…” Finn hesitates, then gathers his courage. “I don’t want her to leave in a year for a better job.” He sits back down, looking down at the table in front of him. I know we butt heads sometimes, but I’m really glad he said that.

“I don’t want to bring her on as an assistant. I want to bring her on here. In this group.” I say. This is what I have been building up to, my unconventional plan.
