Chapter Eight

William

The community centeris ringing with laughter and clinking glasses at Max and Cherry’s reception, but all I can focus on is the memory of Maisy’s soft moans echoing in my ears as I look for her in the crowd.

The food and the toast and the cake and the first dance are done. How soon can I throw her over my shoulder and take her home?

I’m the world’s worst brother.

Maybe not the worst. Dillon and Cressida already left usingpregnancyas their excuse. But I saw the way they were looking at each other, and Dillon has been reading all sorts of pregnancy shit to me lately. Things I don’t want to know about. Cress and her pregnancy hormones were horny, and Dillon was happy to oblige.

Well, I’m horny too. Damn it.

I almost took Maisy again this morning, but there was a wedding cake emergency. So instead of fucking, I helped Maisy frost two hundred cupcakes, and Mary from the diner made a small wedding cake the bride and groom could cut into for pictures with a smaller tier for the freezer.

Now, I’m tired, horny, and want to sink into my woman and never leave her body again.

Fuck. “My woman” and “Maisy” are two concepts that should never be uttered in the same sentence. But the lock she busted open won’t be locked again any time soon.

When she’s finally in my line of sight, her smile when she sees me is so genuine it nearly breaks me, and it takes everything I have not to go to her and...well...do things that would get us arrested for public indecency.

I want to dominate her, to claim her as mine, to make her submit to my every desire. And I’d be just as happy to do it in front of everyone as I would be in my own bed.

In fact, the idea of fucking her in public adds another layer of excitement, of forbidden pleasure, that I can’t ignore.

“William!” She comes up to me, throwing her arms around my neck and pressing her body against mine. I’m so hard for her it’s embarrassing, but she doesn’t seem to notice.

“You look beautiful. Did I tell you that already?”

I had to leave the house before she did, so she got ready and met me at the church. Where I was also busy. In fact, I’ve been busy all damn day.

But I’d be a damned liar if I said I didn’t search her out during the ceremony. Didn’t lock on her face when the preacher was asking my brother if he took this woman. And Maisy was staring right back at me.

“You did tell me. But you can tell me again.”

“You look beautiful.” Her dress is simple, but on her curves, the emerald green sheath is stunning.

“Thank you, Daddy.” She blushes, and I can’t help but laugh. That’s my girl.

“Come on, let’s dance.”

As we sway to the rhythm of the music, our eyes lock, creating an intimate connection that seems to block out the world around us.

“The cupcakes are a hit. Cherry and Max wanted to make sure you knew how much it means to them that you pitched in.”
