“Yes, we are, my love,” his arms came around me, and he kissed the top of my head. “You’re going to be a wife today.”

“And you’re going to be a husband.” I smiled softly with my eyes still closed. “Are you sure you want to be stuck with me for the rest of your life? That’s a really long time.”

His chest rumbled with a low chuckle. His intoxicating scent surrounded me like a cocoon. He pulled away, keeping his hands on my hips, drawing me into him. I loved how he never let me wander far. Whenever we were in the same room, he always kept me close.

“An eternity wouldn’t be long enough with you, Selena Abrams.” He drew his face closer to mine; his hot breath fanned my face. “But we can start with forever.”

His lips came down onto mine in the gentlest of kisses. Even though his touch was soft, the effects of it were earth-shattering. A surge of energy flowed through my veins, the adrenaline of his touch energizing every cell in my body.

When we pulled away, I was breathless. My heart was left soaring, and my mind was covered with the thick haze of lust and need.

Who needed a ceremony anyway? We could hide out here in my suite and consummate the marriage. The guests wouldn’t mind, I was sure of that.

“No,” he flicked my nose with his finger. “We spent too much time planning for today.”

“What?” I hated how he knew me so well. With one look, he knew what I was thinking, and it was both sexy and annoying at the same time. “I didn’t even say anything.”

“You didn’t have to. You’re giving me your sex eyes.”

“I am not giving you sex eyes.” I was definitely giving him sex eyes, but he didn’t need to know that. “I was simply admiring your heavenly-like beauty.”

He pulled away from me and dug his hand into his pocket before he pulled something out.

It was a dark blue box that resembled the same one he had proposed to me with, but only

bigger. He opened it, and inside was a gorgeous necklace with a small pendant that had the

initials S and D intertwined. They were incrusted in diamonds that caught the sunlight and

beamed rainbows onto the walls. I snapped my gaze back up to meet his, my mouth open in

shock. “I thought we said we weren’t going to do gifts.”

He popped one shoulder up in a shrug, “I know, but when have I ever listened to you? Turn around.”

I did as I was instructed and turned. He put the necklace on, the cool metal touching my warm skin. I stared down at it in complete and utter amazement. When I looked up, I was met with his warm eyes; the green in them gave way to the tiny little specs of gold that swam deep within his irises.

“It’s beautiful.”

He circled his arms around my waist and pulled me toward him. His eyes stayed on mine in the mirror.

“Now you have your something new. I know how important it was for you to have all four.”

My heart thundered in my chest. “Well, actually, I had all four already.”

He frowned, “You have the borrowed, blue and old. So, what is your new?”

I had wanted to wait to tell him after the wedding, but there was no time like the present.

I turned in his arms; my hands pressed against his chest.

“I was thinking that maybe we could move. Maybe start looking for a new house in a more suburban area.”

The man looked utterly confused, “but you said you love the city.”

“And I do, but I think we may need a quieter neighborhood. And I also think that suburban life could do the baby some good.”

I watched the confusion melt away as the seconds ticked by.
