“Miss me already?” Easton asked as the call connected.

“Two things. One, you can’t leave me like that in the kitchen. Grayson walked in seconds later and I was having a hard time hiding—”

“How turned on you were.”

I sighed. “Yes.”

“And what’s two?”

“I’m looking over the itinerary for Berlin, and I see your assistant has put a lot of time and effort into our trip.”

“Is that what you think?”

I tapped a pen against my desk. “Is that not the case?”

“She was merely the messenger. That last day, those plans that have been made, they’re all me.”

A flutter moved into my stomach, its long tendrils rising to my chest. “All you, huh?”

“My assistant doesn’t know the things you’re into or the places you’d like to see.”

I scanned each of the spots we were visiting.

“For example,” he continued, “when we were at your place the other day and you were in your room, packing up your overnight bag to take to my condo, I checked out your bookshelf. There were a few titles about World War II—both fiction and nonfiction on there. So I booked us a tour of the Jewish Museum, thinking you would enjoy that as much as me.”

My eyes closed, my head shaking.

This man.

My God.

“Mr.Boston, you’re quite the thoughtful one.”

“I accept all forms of appreciation as long as they involve your mouth.”

“You’re too much,” I said, laughing, and I hung up.

The moment I set my phone down, I reached for my cell.

Me:He saw the books I have in my apartment about WWII and booked us a tour of the Jewish Museum while we’re in Germany. Can you even?

Saara:I live for him.

Saara:And didn’t I tell you dating your boss is the BEST? Now, you can tell me how right I am and how incredibly amazing I am...I’m waiting.

Me:Lolol. I love you.

Me:Seriously, Saara, the man reeks of sex and dirty talk and I’m so here for it, but then he does something so sweet and generous, and the combo has me melting.

Me:It’s also prevented me from getting a single thing done this morning.

Me:Let’s add distraction to his list of qualities.

Saara:Efficiency is overrated.

Saara:Besides, you didn’t mind his distracting ways last night, did you?

Me:I have a rollout. An international rollout at that. The partners will kill me if I don’t make the date I’ve promised.
