She always sees my actions as a form of help. I don’t like that. “I know, but I want you to look your best. No, don’t thank me. You’ll be giving me the greatest appreciation by being stunning. One thing you should know about me is that I do what I want if I care to do so.”
She goes on her tiptoes, kissing my lips passionately with her arms around me. “That’s a thank you.”
“I want more where that came from.” She runs from me, giggling all the way as she takes the dress to the walk-in closet.
I lean by the door, watching and waiting for her to walk out. I know she’ll be stunning in the dress. I hear her footsteps in her heels first. She peeks out, smiling shyly. I watch her step out foot first in red high heels. She stands before me in the low cut black tight-fitting leather dress that reveals her cleavage and a pendant hanging snuggly between her bosoms. She wears an oversized fluffy beige coat to cover up a bit. The dress stops just short of her knees.
Her hair seems wavier, and her makeup has transformed her into a different woman. “You’re a vision, Chasmin.” I hold her arms, feeling jealous that others will see her this way.
“Thanks. I feel beautiful.”
“You’re more than beautiful, baby. I’ll be honored to have you with me tonight. Shall we?”
She nods and we leave the room. I stand taller with her by my side; my mind spins thinking that I’ll be away from her while at the party. What man could resist approaching her? Certainly, not me.I’ll try to keep them away, she’s mine. That’s how it should be.She looks at me with an open smile that I soon return.Mine, I mumble to myself.
Chapter 7
CHASMIN
Ifeelexcitedtogo out with Lance, but I can’t cling to him the way I want to. His fiery gaze makes me feel naked, even with the coat I have on. I want to hold his hand and cling to him in public, but I know better than to do that.It would be a disaster.Even though Lance and I have reached an understanding, it is hard to stick to it.
We get into the elevator; we’re the only ones there. Lance immediately hugs me from behind, kissing my neck. I shiver and sigh. I hold his hands, pressing my back to him and feeling his length. He gasps as I grind on him. I smile to myself. “It’s a pity I can’t take you here,” he growls, his hand sliding to my thigh, raising my dress a bit.
I hold his hand from going further. “Easy now, tiger. We can’t be caught like this.” I try getting my breathing under control. He kisses my cheek, taking his hands away. The sharp change makes me feel empty, but we must do this. I glance at him; his face is blank.
“Lance…”
“I know, Chasmin. Let’s get this done with.” As he says it, the elevator stops, and the doors open. “My lady.” He winks, motioning that I should step out first.
I exit the elevator and begin to feel nervous. I haven’t dressed up like this in public, ever. I pull the oversized fur coat tighter around me, hiding myself as much as I can without looking obvious. Every eye on me feels like they’re seeing me naked. Lance steps beside me, and my nervousness subsides. He gives me an encouraging smile and whispers, “You’re beautiful and rocking the hell out of this.”
That is something I need. We leave the grand lobby of the hotel, stepping into the cool night air. The chill tells me that it’ll soon be snowing. We get to Lance’s car and hop in. He starts the engine right away and begins driving to his friend’s house, where the party is being held. He takes my hand to kiss it. Although his eyes are on the road, I feel them on me.
I accept it; no one is going to see us. I lean toward him, kissing his cheek. I always want to be in his arms and have him in mine. What a pity that things can’t work out between us. I’m taking this experience as a once in a lifetime opportunity, although it’ll hurt to lose him.
He looks at me. I hide my worry with a smile. We arrive at a large gate that opens automatically as Lance faces the house. He drives in, and I take in the sight of a beautiful two-story villa painted white with large windows on each floor. The villa is surrounded by a well-manicured garden with a long walkway, leading to the entrance of the house. Lance drives up to the entrance, where other luxurious cars are parked.
We get out of the car, and I see the trees around the house already have Christmas lights. Although it is a grand house, my awe is small compared to other houses I’ve seen. “Let’s go in. It seems the party is in full swing.” Lance walks to the closed ornate oak doors; that’s when I hear laughter and soft music, drifting out of the house.
. He opens the door, and I enter behind him. The music and sound of clinking glasses grow louder. The interior of the house is beautiful with different colored couches, a fireplace underneath a mounted TV, and floor-to-ceiling velvet curtains. Lance leads me to the ballroom, where the party is in full swing.
“We’re here…” He is cut off by a boisterous voice; he laughs hugging a man jovially. They break apart, and I see his face. His hair is gelled and pulled into a man bun. His nose is sharp but he has soft blue eyes. He had just shaved. He looks good in his suit pants, although the jacket is missing.
“I’m glad you could join us, Lance. I have a lot planned for you. Ah, is this she?” He turns his gaze on me, smiling cryptically at Lance.
“This is Chasmin, my assistant. I brought her over to have some fun. Chasmin, this is my friend, Charlie.” Lance replies. I feel betrayed by the label “assistant”. I had agreed to this. I smile to make sure I don’t have a sulky expression plastered on my face.
I shake Charlie’s hand. “A pleasure meeting you.” I say, and he smiles brightly.
“The pleasure is all mine. Lance never told him he had a lady as beautiful as you working for him. Please, join us.” He links his arm with mine, taking me into the ballroom.
Lance follows behind us. I avert my gaze, feeling their possessive glint. The ballroom is beyond grand with its exotic gold and silver designs and bright wall lamps, accompanied by an intricate design on the marble floor. The guests are paired in two, likely couples. The whole place is buzzing with excitement. There aren't any notable Christmas decorations, except for garlands hanging around the room.
“I shouldn’t take much of your time. There’s wine or whatever you want over there. Have fun. Now, I have to steal Lance away from you.” He lets go of my hand, leaving me at a loss for what to do alone. I glance at Lance who steps toward me.
He leans in lightly, his lips brushing my cheek. “I won’t be far away. I’ll be watching you. Don’t have too much fun without me.”
“I’ll try.” I watch him walk away. He enters into a conversation with Charlie and they laugh, looking like they’re having fun. I look around, finding something to keep me occupied.
