“Liam, put me down,” I squealed when we were safely in the barn.
He set me on my feet, grabbing my waist and pulling me against him. He guided me two steps back until I was pressed against the wall. “Hello, dulcinée.” Liam lowered his head and kissed me. “Sorry, I couldn’t wait any longer.”
“It’s okay,” I said, catching my breath. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much.Every minute was one to be cherished with him.
“Get a room, you two,” someone called from the other end of the barn, and I buried my face in Liam’s shirt.
“Do you need help with Zeus?”I asked.
“No, I’ve got it. You go home and relax. Take a nice hot bath, and I’ll be home in a few hours.” Liam nuzzled my neck.
“Mmm. That sounds lovely. Wish you were there to join me,” I teased as I sauntered away, leaving Liam eyeing me.
I sighed. It was a shame he couldn’t come with me, but I couldn’t wait to soak in the tub and relax. It’d been forever since I pampered myself.
After a long soak, I decided not to go back and paint. I picked up Liam’s book he left by the couch and started reading. It was a good book, but it also brought out too many scary feelings. It hit too close to home with what was happening with Jeff.Duke had mentioned they were able to find out Jeff had taken out a large sum of money, and that was it. With no credit card charges to follow or sightings of his car, he could be anywhere. However, Liam and Duke reassured me over and over they would never let Jeff get anywhere near me again.

After dinner, everyone seemed to leave the dining hall at the same time, chatting as we stopped outside the building.
“Who’s ready for poker night?” Travis rubbed his hands together.
“I’m ready to take all your money, if that’s what you mean.” Scott gave Travis a light punch on the arm.
“You’re all going down.” Caleb looked around the circle, grinning.
All the girls laughed at their pre-game banter. From what Blake told me, the men played poker once a month at someone’s house, and the girls got to do girl's night at another house. I’d been looking forward to relaxing with wine and a movie.
“You guys are coming too, right?” Gavin looked at Liam and Duke expectantly.
“No, we won’t be able to join you,” Liam said to the group.
I turned to pout at him but was caught in the burning intensity of his eyes. Hot breath fanned across my neck, sending a shiver down my spine as Duke pressed against my back.
“We have other plans for you tonight—ones that don’t involve our friends,” he whispered in my ear.
“Oh really. What are they?” I breathed, unable to tear my eyes away from Liam’s heated gaze.
“We want to see how loud we can get you to scream our names,”Duke growled.
My breath caught when he nipped my earlobe, and fire pooled between my legs. My panties were ruined, but I didn’t care. I couldn’t wait to see what they had planned for me.
“Rain check,” Liam said.
Blake gave me a knowing look, and I knew everyone had the correct assumption about what was about to happen. And I didn’t care. I wanted it. And given how quickly we rushed home, they wanted it too.
“How do you feel about being tied up?” Liam asked the moment we stepped foot in the house.
“What?” I didn’t think I heard him correctly. They wanted to tie me up?
I followed them to the bedroom, but they didn’t repeat the question. Liam went to his closet and pulled out what looked like a necktie while Duke grabbed both my wrists in one hand.
“We want to know if being tied up is off the table or not,” Duke growled.
“I’ve never done it before.” I shrugged. “But I’d be willing to try it.”
Liam groaned and tossed the tie to Duke. “On the bed, darlin’.”
