Mason laughs. "You wish, man. It was always me, Seth, andthenyou," he says, gesturing to show the order.

The mood shifted as we remembered Seth. The group fell silent for a moment, our thoughts with him.

"Seth should be here with us," Kaleb says, his voice tinged with sadness.

Mason nodded, taking a sip of his champagne. "It's not fair that he's gone."

"But let's not forget the good times we shared with him," I interjected, "Seth may be gone, but he'll always be a part of us. We'll carry his spirit with us forever."

"Absolutely. Seth had such a big heart and was always full of love. We were lucky to have him as a friend for as long as we did." Gem looks at Mason, and they share a smile. He pulls her into his side, tugging her close.

"Fatherhood looks pretty damn good on him, too," Gem says. I turn my head to see what she's looking at, and my eyes rest on the heartwarming scene of my family.

The two of them are a sight to behold. My eyes are drawn to their impeccable outfits and perfectly styled hair. Maverick stands tall, exuding confidence in his designer suit that accentuates his broad shoulders. His cufflinks and shoes are immaculate, and every detail is perfectly in place.

Next to him stands Shaun, equally well-dressed in a suit that complements his lean frame. His mid-fade haircut with a side quaff adds a touch of edginess to his overall polished look.

I follow Maverick's gaze as he surveys the room, his intense blue eyes finally locking onto mine. A warm smile spreads across his face, revealing a set of perfectly white teeth, as he takes Shaun's hand and starts moving toward me. My heart rate quickens, and the butterflies begin to dance in my tummy. I hold my breath as his eyes sparkle with lust and a smile that has the power to melt my panties. His gaze bores into mine when I feel his hand on my hip, drawing me closer.

“Hi,” he says in a husky, sexy voice. He strokes my cheek and kisses my lips.

“Hi.” I feel my face flush.

My inspiration.

I have noticed a significant positive change in my life since Ricky returned to me. The gray clouds that once hung heavily in the sky dissipate, revealing a clear and radiant blue. The sun shines brighter, casting vibrant colors across the sky and igniting feelings of joy, hope, and peace. Ricky's presence brings a renewed sense of love and the promise of fresh beginnings.

I used to let bipolar disorder take over my life, dictating my every decision. However, Seth helped me understand that I have the power to change the course of my life, and I began to take control of my emotions. The enemy consumed me when Seth left, and I could not resist its pull. I was too exhausted to keep fighting. I wanted it all to end.

The journey to mental stability and well-being was not easy, but I committed myself to fighting for what truly mattered to me. Despite my reluctance to take medications, I never missed a day because I knew that I needed to stay on track. My weekly therapy sessions were my lifeline, providing me with the extra motivation and support I needed to continue onto the right path. Even when the road ahead gets rough, and it undoubtedly will, I am confident in my ability to navigate through the dark days.

And now, with Ricky being back, that fighting spirit has only gotten stronger. I feel more passionate and driven than ever, and I'm ready to take on whatever obstacles come my way.

Maverick surveyed the room, pausing to meet each of our friends' gazes. A warm smile spreads across his face, "It's great to see all of you. I'm glad you're here."

Mason nods, his deep voice resonating with unwavering loyalty, "Wouldn't be anywhere else, man."

Kaleb leans in towards me with a playful glint in his eye, "Same here."

Shaun stands close by, his fingers entwined with mine as he beams at me.

Maverick pulls me closer to his side, his arm wrapped protectively around me. His voice is strong and steady as he says, "Here's to old friends catching up, to new beginnings, and to the lasting bond we share."

The room falls silent as he continues, "Let's toast to Seth, our friendship, and the future. Let's cherish every moment and continue making him proud."

In unison, we all raise our glasses and echo, "Cheers."

Kaleb's demeanor was uneasy as he approached me. His face carried a look of anxiousness and nervousness. "Hey, Scar. Do you have a minute to talk?" he asked.

I could sense the urgency in his tone, and I responded, "Yeah, of course. Let's go to my office." I led him to the back. As soon as we got there, Kaleb's nervousness intensified. He fidgeted with his hands and looked down at his feet. "Scarlett, there's something I need to tell you.” He finally spoke up, his voice trembling with emotion. "I've been keeping this from you for so long, and I can't do it anymore."

My heart sank as I saw the distress on his face. "What is it? What's wrong?" I asked, my voice filled with worry. Kaleb started speaking with a nervous fidget, "I need to tell you something important about Tiffany and the baby she had after Seth died," he said. "The baby is Seth's son."

His words took me aback, and I struggled to comprehend his meaning. "What do you mean? How is that even possible?" I asked, my voice shaking with disbelief. Kaleb took a deep breath, steadying himself as he continued. "After Seth passed away, I discovered that Tiffany was pregnant with his child. She was in a difficult situation, and I couldn't turn my back on her. I've been looking after them all these years."

My mind reeled as I tried to comprehend the revelation. Seth, my brother, had left behind a son he never knew about, and Kaleb had been secretly looking after him and Tiffany all this time. The weight of the truth hung heavy in the air, and I could feel the tension in my chest as I tried to find the right words to respond. The room was so quiet that I could hear my own heartbeat, and I could see the sadness etched on Kaleb's face as he waited for my reaction. The gravity of the situation hit me like a ton of bricks, and I realized that Kaleb had been carrying this burden alone for far too long. Tears welled up in my eyes as I spoke. "I can't believe you've been shouldering this burden alone," I said, my voice choked with emotion. "But why didn't you tell me? I could have helped. We could have helped."
