“Good, because it’s time for the mother-son dances.” I pat his leg. “Guess who’s up first?”

“Chase,” he says.

Chase gets up and takes Vanya’s hand. They dance together and Chase is smiling while Vanya’s fighting her tears. At least I’m not the only one who cried today. Hunter takes a slow breath, kisses my cheek, and whispers in my ear.

“I want to keep being a better man for you, Valerie. You’re going to have two wonderful mothers-in-law, so you’ll never have to feel alone,” Hunter promises.

I stare after him as he goes to dance with Vanya as well. I squeeze Lief’s hand. “When are you three going to stop making me fall in love on a daily basis?”

“When we get you to fall in love on an hourly basis,” he answers.

“Is the weather going to stay this nice?” I ask, leaning toward him. “All through the reception?”

“All through the reception,” he promises, kissing my temple. “The rain will wait until tomorrow, just for us.”

“You keep being right. I’ll assume that you control the weather, Viking.”

“I’d be willing to try for you, Viper,” he answers.

I kiss him, touching the braid I put in his hair. He draws back and takes my hand. “I did something for you.”

“What? Lief, the grooms don’t get the bride a present. You are my present, and I’m yours,” I say.

He almost says something, but Josefine walks up. “The ceremony was so beautiful. I cried with what you said, Lief. You’ve never shared your feelings like that before.”

“Valerie means the world to me. I don’t want her ever thinking it’s one-sided,” he answers.

“I never do, Viking. You always make me feel loved,” I say. “Now go dance with your mother.”

Lief goes and dances with his mother. I grin at them as Hunter sits beside me again. “Are you sure you don’t want to dance with Tristan or ... Roman? He could be a father figure.”

I laugh. “Absolutely not. My next dance belongs to Chase, then you, then Lief. I don’t know what you three have planned.”

“Well, we took dance lessons, at least Chase and I did. Lief might have on his own time, but I can’t say for sure,” Hunter sighs.

Before I know it, we’re up. Chase holds my hand and leads me in a simple waltz, then more, something close and intense, like a tango. I giggle as he spins me, then catches me against his body. I kiss him. “I love you, baby boy.”

“I love you. I meant everything I said at the altar. You will never have a chance to think any of us don’t love you, because we do. You’re everything to us,” Chase says, promising me.

“You can’t say that when you have an entire business to run.” I kiss his neck. “It’s okay. I like that we have other things that are important to us and we’re not codependent.”

Chase dips me back, then pulls me up, again cradling me far closer than anyone would say is appropriate. He kisses my neck. “I’m going to steal you. You know that, right?”

“If you tell me, it’s not stealing,” I whisper back.

He spins me out and Hunter catches me. He presses his lips to my temple and doesn’t even pretend to be sly about how he’s dancing. I love it. I love how silly he is, I love how much fun he has, love that I can forget the world in his arms as we laugh and tease one another. He lifts me and I gasp before he pulls me back down his body, eyes serious.

Our faces brush and my heart lodges in my throat. Hunter brushes my hair from my face and runs his nose over my temple to whisper in my ear. “I liked you better in less.”

“You always do,” I pant. “Imagine our honeymoon.”

He groans. “You’re not packing anything at all. It wouldn’t make sense. You’re going to spend more time naked than not.”

“So dirty.” I bite his bottom lip. “This is supposed to be a romantic dance.”

“Romance always leads to sex. I just like to skip parts,” Hunter says. “But I know you like a little tease. Should I take off my shirt again?”

I pull him by his shirt. “Absolutely not. Woo me, Hunter.”
