Luke chuckled, leaning over to squeeze my knee gently. "Glad you're feeling better. We were worried."
Archer, always the perceptive one, caught the fleeting look of confusion in my eyes. "What's on your mind?" he prodded.
I hesitated for a moment, then sighed. "Just... you know, the usual. Life, weird coincidences, the possibility of becoming a cliché in a soap opera."
Lying down on the plush bed, I heard the rustle of the guys moving about. Archer, Mr. Take-Charge, looked down at me, his eyes filled with concern.
"Maybe you should rest a little more," he suggested, gently pushing my shoulder down when I tried to sit up.
I swatted his hand away playfully. "I promise, Archer, I'm good. Just a weird day," I replied.
The room was thick with tension, each of us lost in our own whirlwind of thoughts. Then Luke, ever the mediator, took a deep breath. "Alright, enough of the awkward silence. We need to address the giant, sequined elephant in the room."
I chuckled, grateful for the break in tension. "You're right. We can't tiptoe around this," I admitted, sitting up straighter. "It's complicated. Like, next-level telenovela complicated."
The guys looked at me, a mix of amusement and seriousness in their eyes. "I've had time to think, and I believe we could try this—whatever this is," I continued, taking a deep breath. "But we have to be on the same page. No secrets, no weird family drama, and most importantly, open communication."
Archer nodded, running a hand over his freshly shaved head. "I'm in. But we have to do it right."
Vinnie flashed one of his trademark grins. "I’m all in, as long as we can still have fun." His statement brought a few chuckles, but he quickly turned serious. "I mean, this is new territory for all of us. We should navigate it with care, but also not lose, you know, the joy and spontaneity."
Isaac, quiet until now, finally chimed in. "I've never been one to shy away from uncharted territories. We'll figure it out, one step at a time."
Luke, squeezing my hand, added, "Life throws curve balls, and while this situation is unconventional, it doesn't mean we can't make it work. We've faced bigger challenges. Together, we can handle anything."
With a newfound determination, I said, "Alright then, gentlemen. Let's navigate this minefield. And, just so you know, I'm holding each of you personally responsible if we all get blown up in the process." They laughed.
Feeling a tangle of emotions, I took a steadying breath. "Okay, let me just lay it out there. I'm genuinely feeling things I never imagined I could feel for not one, but all of you. Sounds like I'm straight out of some wild rom com, doesn't it? But it's the honest truth. Now with Mom and Sal in the mix, it's..."
Vinnie waved his hands in dismissal. "Becca, we get it, it's complex. But guess what? We're all aboard this crazy train with you. Feelings aren't predictable. They're messy, wild, and at times, downright nonsensical."
His words struck a chord, but I still couldn't shake off the uncertainty completely. The tension in the room was discernible, and as I glanced at each of their faces, I saw mirrored reflections of my own apprehensions and hopes.
Isaac nodded thoughtfully. "Life can be unpredictable. But we've got this, or we’ll figure it out. The Mary and Sal situation? It's just another thing we need to figure out."
“Mr. Optimistic,” I replied, reaching over and giving his leg a squeeze.“I like it.”
Archer's fingers softly traced the outline of my jaw. His voice, deep and resonant, murmured reassurances, "The world's definitions of relationships don't get to dictate our reality."
Luke merely tightened his grip around my hand, his eyes locking onto mine, saying everything words couldn't.
I was certain we were about to kiss. And sitting on my bed, surrounded by the guys, was exactly what I wanted. I closed my eyes and lips began to find my skin – one pair, then another, then another, then another.
“We can’t do this right now,” I murmured, my eyes still closed.
“Now’s the best time, actually,” Archer said. “No one here to walk in on us.”
Their lips met mine in succession, setting off a series of emotional fireworks. Each kiss, unique in its passion, made my heart race and skin tingle.
Chuckling, I tried to cut through the intensity. "So, you all keep saying we're alone, but are we sure? Like, a hundred percent?"
Vinnie flashed his cheeky grin, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Scout's honor. We have the entire place to ourselves. No interruptions. No unexpected visitors."
My eyebrows arched playfully, "Well then, I hope you guys are ready for some fun. Because believe me, this is what I’ve been needing since this morning."
Every heartbeat and breath amplified to a deafening level. As I felt Luke’s soft lips brush against the corner of my mouth, I was immediately pulled into a haze of warmth. His hands traced patterns on my back, sending shivers down my spine. His kiss was soft and gentle, like the brush of a feather, but it stirred something deep within me, awakening a passion I'd barely tapped into.
Next came Vinnie. His kiss was entirely different, assertive and confident. He took my lower lip between his, sucking gently. The feel of his strong hands framing my face and the soft rasp of his stubble sent a shock of electricity straight to my core. The world around us seemed to blur, focusing only on the rhythm of our breaths and the urgent need building up.
