I pull into the house across town that I’m restoring and get the supplies out of the back of my truck. The flooring is coming along nicely. Henry was right—it does look beautiful. I haven’t decided yet whether to sell or rent the place. I may try renting for a year and see how it goes. I can always put it up for sale later if I decide to.

Hearing my phone ding, I pull it out of my pocket and grin when I see a text from Emma.

Emma

I’m going to the grocery store later this week. Are you sure you don’t want me to bring anything for Saturday?

So she’s thinking about Saturday too. The kiss definitely worked.

Noah

No, I have it all taken care of. Just be ready at 10 a.m. All you need to do is bring your beautiful self, and I’ll do the rest.

Emma

Ok, if you’re sure.

Noah

I’m sure.

Emma

How’s work going today?

She’s trying. A huge ass grin appears on my face.

Noah

It’s going good. I just got to the house that I’m restoring. You would love the hardwood floors that I’m putting in. Maybe I can show you sometime, and you can help me with some of the design and decor?

Emma

I would love to help you. You’ve done so much for me. It’s the least I could do. Plus, I love doing stuff like that.

Noah

Perfect. I’ll finish the floors first and let you know when I’m ready for the next step.

Emma

Sounds good.

Wanting to make her laugh, I grin and type.

Noah

Have a good day at work today. Try not to think of the kiss too much. I don’t want the other guys that come in thinking it’s them that are making you blush.

Emma

It’s hard not to think about. You’ve made quite an impression on me since we first met.

Somebody is coming out of their shell and being bold. I love it.

Noah

Trust me, the feeling is mutual.
