Liar!
“Good.” Jessie yawns. “Are we all going to bed?”
“Soon. I just need to talk to Shane first. Mikey and Liam are waiting for you.”
“You said you wouldn’t fight,” she reminds him.
“We won’t,” I tell her. I have no intention of fighting with him over this.
“You sure you’re okay?” he asks her again and the simmering anger bristles beneath my skin.
Of course she’s okay. She was with me. Like I would let anyone hurt her.But I don’t say any of those things right now because I don’t want to argue in front of her.
He carries her to bed where Liam is lying awake waiting for her.
“Hey, baby,” our younger brother says with a smile, seemingly unaware of what took place downstairs.
“Hey,” she says as Conor sets her on her feet.
“Get in here, Red,” Mikey grumbles, half asleep.
“I just need to freshen up first,” she whispers
I want to tell her no. I want my cum running out of her while she lies between my brothers, but maybe it’s not me she’s washing away? So, I remain silent.
She looks between Conor and me, worry etched on her beautiful face.
“I just want to talk to him,” Conor says quietly.
She narrows her eyes at us. “Okay,” she finally says with a sigh. “But you’ll come to bed soon, right?”
I place my hand on her waist and drop a soft kiss on the top of her head. “Very soon, sweetheart.”
“Yeah,” Conor agrees and together we watch her walk to the bathroom, her hips and ass swaying seductively in that skintight skirt.
Only when she’s disappeared from view do Conor and I walk out of the room.
“What the fuck, Shane?” he snarls as soon as we’re out in the hallway.
“He didn’t see anything.”
“He saw her come. He heard her,” he snaps, his brow furrowed in anger.
“It’s no worse than what you did in front of Gia. In fact it’s less so.”
He spins on his heel, glaring at me. “I did that for her. Because she needed me to. What you just did…” he scrubs a hand over his beard. “That was only for you.”
I glare back at him. The rage is still bubbling inside me, just beneath the surface. Even fucking her didn’t get it out of me. I should have killed him. I should have worked out every bit of anger and jealousy on him. He touched her.
He said…
Fuck! Conor is right.
“I know,” I admit and he blinks at me in surprise. I doubt he was expecting that admission so easily. “He said she was scared of me, Con. He said he was protecting her from me.”
“Jessie?” he frowns. “Scared of you?”
“That’s what he said.” I swallow hard.
