I mean I'm sure each of them spied on the other to get the upper hand. To be honest, it made me skeptical of the staff here. And then it hit me.
“You work for Tabitha, don't you?” I asked Jane.
Her smile remained. “I guess I do. But don't worry I didn't tell her about your relationship with the boss.”
“Well, thank you at least,” I said.
“Aren't you going to deny it?” she asked with a playful look.
“You already know and you haven't told anyone so I guess that's okay,” I replied.
Besides, Tabitha already knows.
I just wish they could continue working together like this.

With the siblings of the Hill still at the hospital I had to go back home. Just as I was arriving, Sebastian was leaving.
“Good evening, Sebastian,” I said. “Wonderful day at work today?”
“I would say so. How about you?” he asked.
“Well I saw the siblings working together today, and I'm still in shock,” I replied.
“They did?” He looked at me in disbelief to say, “Or are you trying to prank me?”
“I couldn't believe it myself,” I sighed.
He looked genuinely happy after hearing that.
“If only they could keep it up during family dinner,” he said; the smile on his face faded.
This man is more of a father than their actual father…speaking of which.
“Is anyone in the manor right now?” I asked.
“Your friend left for the spa a few minutes ago,” he answered. “The only person inside is James. He's in the living room watching the news, so I advise you to just go straight upstairs.”
“I can manage,” I said and thanked him before going in.
“You keep up this attitude and I'm not inviting you to my wedding,” I heard James say.
I glanced over at him and he was on a phone call.
“Yeah, sure. Pleasure doing business with you,” he said. He ended the call looking pleased with himself.
He focused on the television but looked away focusing on his phone. Just looking at him sitting at peace and guide me as I remembered what he had done to Kate. I wanted to talk to him but at the same time I decided not to say anything.
“Olivia don't be a stranger, come.” He motioned for me to walk over to him.
“You don't have to act like you're being friendly,” I said as I made my way to him.
“I guess I understand why you're angry,” he said trying to calm me down. “I overreacted and caused you some problems. I apologize for that.”
“While I do hate the fact you think such an apology would help me forgive you,” I started to say, “but you don't look like the kind of person to normally apologize. I guess I'll take that.”
“Thank you for your kind words.” He grinned and led me to his wine room.
