I made my way to the bathroom. "Yes, he was."
I entered the bathroom but left the door open for our conversation. I turned on the shower and allowed the warm water to wash away the sweat I had built up. As I washed my body, I touched myself; it felt like he was doing it again. His hands felt even bigger than before.
Quickly grabbing and squeezing my ass like it was nothing.
"It was that easy?" she asked.
"To be honest. I never liked the job I had to do. But he let me know that my dream was still valid," I responded. "While it's true that I may have a pretty face, it doesn't mean that's all I am."
"I mean, have you seen his face? Sculpted by angels, I tell you," I continued, grinning as I praised Lucas. "And yet, he saved lives. Judging by what I saw today at dinner, he doesn't seem to have a fantastic family. But he's making things work."
"I haven't heard you speak so highly of anyone like this," she remarked. "So this is how his family felt when they heard him talk about you?"
"I guess," I answered.
"What's so wrong about using your beauty to get things you want?" she asked while yawning. "Rather than the brutal hard work, you could just end up with a rich man like I did, and boom! Easy sailing afterward."
I struggled to find words that wouldn't make her feel bad or offended. It's okay if one wants to marry someone rich to secure comfort for now and the future.
"You're right, there's nothing bad about that," I agreed. "Personally, I just want to have something I worked hard on for myself. I'm still not proud that my virginity feels like it was bought."
"Wait, you were a virgin when you started?"
"Weren't you?"
"No, I actually had a boyfriend," she explained. "It was good and all. Then he found another girl that suited his tastes and followed after her."
"I see. Lucky you," I teased.
"What's so lucky about that? I was heartbroken, you know?" she sighed. "So, you haven't had a proper relationship then?"
"No," I turned off the shower and applied the body wash. Lucky for me, I had the type of skin that didn't require unique formulas or specific products to look good.
Then again, the body wash in the bathroom was a top-brand item. I'm sure one of Lucas's sisters was behind it as well.
"So, is he going to be your first?" she asked. "Lucas."
I stopped rubbing the wash.Lucas and I? A couple? What doesdating entail again?
Getting to know each other, supporting our dreams; kissing…fucking…loving.
"I can't have him treating me like a favorite because of our relationship," I explained, although the idea didn't sound bad at all.
"Does he know?" she asked, "about what you used to be?"
"No, he doesn't," I answered.
I had assumed that James would have told him, but he hadn't, so that was an okay part for me.
"Will you tell him?" she asked. "Then again, I don't know what he'd think."
"It doesn't matter. I don't care," I responded as I started to rinse my body. "It doesn't matter."
"Whatever you say, ma'am," she said. I could hear her footsteps. "I'm going back to James's room. He wants to try something new."
"Good luck," I bade her farewell as I washed my face.
"Sleep well," she said before closing the door.
