“I'm sure they hope to get the upper hand mentality,” I explained.
“You said that what they were actually like that until recently,” she reminded me as she tried another pose.
She bent forward, raising her ass, and I could see her camel toe. My cock started to harden, but I ignored it, preferring to look in another direction.
“That's because I found something else to distract me,” I responded.
“And for that you're welcome,” she said, without looking at me. “You don't have to be patient; they will definitely come tonight. At least Gregory will.”
“You aren't worried?”
“In a way I am. Just until recently, I was the ex-stepmom’s best friend,” she replied, “but I believe that they will change their old views. If they don't, so what? I'm with you.”
“You really know how to use your words,” I praised her.
“Only because you praise me for it,” she replied and met me for a hug.
I returned the embrace with a sigh. “We'll be fine.”

They actually showed up.
“I'm just here because I heard you fell in love,” Eleanor said as she walked past me, handing me a bottle of wine. “Gregory suggested we bring something.”
“I don't know what family festivities normally entail,” Gregory said, “but I brought some wine as well.”
“No, fair that's what I brought too,” Isaac said and frowned.
“It can't be helped that I'm the only one who thinks differently,” Tabitha sighed. “I brought a cake…and wine.”
“Why did you all bring wine?” I asked.
“An alcoholic father,” Tabitha said. “And you look like him so…”
“I thought we agreed not to say that to him?” Helena asked.
“I don't mind. I look like him after all,” I shrugged and took a seat.
“Does your lady know about the plan?” Isaac asked.
“Maybe if you yap long enough, she will find out,” Helena replied.
“Could you both just sit down?” I was almost starting to regret this.
“Sorry, big brother,” they apologized sarcastically but went to take their seats, anyway.
As we were about to start dinner, Olivia and the girls handled the plating. Everyone shared what had been going on in their lives.
“I just got a new doctor to assist me, but he's so stubborn and refuses to submit,” Tabitha complained.
“If he's so stubborn, you could always fire him,” Helena suggested.
“And make him think he's won?” The latter raised a brow and added, “There's no way I'm letting that happen.”
“Sounds to me like you like him,” I said.
“Don't dump me with the likes of you. I don't like anyone,” she pointed out. “No offence, Olivia. I still don't know how you convinced this man to change.”
