We had returned from the superstore and were sorting out the food items in the pantry.

“Isaac. That man is a walking Casanova,” I replied. “I’ve seen that man make women swoon just by laughing. In terms of charisma, he is the opposite of me.”

“What happened to if you're jealous and insecure…” she asked, holding back a smile.

“It's like I told you. If you're jealous, it means you're insecure. In this case, I'm not ashamed to admit that I’m insecure when it comes to Isaac,” I said.

“You just admitted to weakness,” she cooed. “Come here, big baby.”

“Mind you, I'm not the big baby,” I said, but I went to accept her hug anyway. It would be a waste not to.

“Sure, you're not,” she scoffed as she gently rubbed my back. “I'm sure your brothers were surprised to see the big strong man they respect, getting all possessive over a weak woman.”

“You are anything but weak; but, yes, I get your point,” I said and sighed.

“So, what do we do now?” she asked. “Not only does Tabitha know about us, but now your younger brothers do as well.”

“I don't care if Tabitha exposes us anymore,” I said.

“But your staff..,”

“I'm sure they wouldn't care, either,” I assured her. “You've been a wonderful island, and everyone wants you on their side, “So, maybe my little slip-up wasn't a bad thing, after all.”

“Are you saying?” She raised a brow in expectation.

“I'm saying that we should finally become official,” I answered.

“Aren't you worried? I mean you should be worried ,” she said. “I've had to prove myself before we got into a relationship. This might just confirm their suspicions.”

“What are they going to do? Fire you?” I asked with a cocky smile. “They aren't going to do a single thing. No one ever will. That’s why I'm by your side, and they should know it.”

“You sound so sexy when you talk like that,” she cooed and bit her lower lip.

“No no, not in the pantry.” I stopped her from bouncing on me. “Anywhere but the pantry. My food sleeps here.”

“Killjoy,” she pouted.

“Manners, little girl.” I poked her forehead. “You should learn restraint.”

“Aren’t you the man? Why do you even have restraints?” she asked.

“I'm trying to save my body for marriage,” I said bashfully.

“Yeah right,” she laughed. I joined in as well.

As we settled down, I stared at her. I didn't plan on telling my brothers about her. But I did want to take things to the next step, and becoming my lover would settle things. Tabitha would have no reason to blackmail me, anymore. And I wouldn't have to hide while talking to Olivia.

I just wanted us to have the kind of relationship I had seen others enjoy. But if she wasn't okay with it, I was willing to wait until she was ready.

“You don't have to answer the boyfriend-girlfriend thing yet,” I explained. “My brothers won't say a word - of that I'm quite sure.”

“I understand,” she said. “I'll be honest. I also want to kiss you in front of everyone. I see the eyes of the nurses. Some of the patients even talk about preferring you. I may or may not have changed appointments to make sure they don't meet with you.”

“You did what?” I held my laughter.

“Insecure and Jealous, okay?” She rolled her eyes. “And most of the patients are half-naked anyway…and some have perfect bodies.”

“I barely even notice,” I said as I touched her breast. “Your body is the only worth remembering.”
