I staredwith a mix of horror, shock, and amusement as six men from the fire department entered the stage in their full gear. The crowd went crazy, screaming and hollering and stamping their feet. Miri choked, having inhaled a feather from her boa.

Finn locked eyes with me from the stage and shot me that wicked grin.

I couldn’t breathe.

Sadie howled with laughter. “What?” she shrieked, laughing into her hands. “Did you know about this?”

“No,” I squawked, unable to tear my gaze from Finn’s.

Unlike the professional dancers before, the fire department didn’t have choreography, but as the song played, they slowly peeled clothing off until they were stripped down to their boxer briefs.

The crowd ate it up. I’d never heard so much screaming. Bills fluttered through the air, landing on the stage as the pile of clothing behind each firefighter got bigger and more skin was visible.

My eyes were on Finn the entire time, and his eyes were on me.

I already knew Finn was hot. I already knew his muscles looked airbrushed, every ridge and line cut into his body like stone. I had seen the ink spanning his skin and how it moved with him.

But like this? In the dim lighting, with music playing, with his eyes lighting me on fire like that? He was like a god, and I had the urge to run my tongue over each tattoo.

I tore my gaze up from his body to his eyes and he smiled wider, more arrogantly. Rakishly, even. His gaze traced my skin, lingered on the choker around my neck, on the swell of my breasts. He stared at me like he wanted me. Between my legs, I twinged.

It made me fucking horny.

A slow, sexy smile appeared on his face and he lifted an eyebrow. I shivered.

“Show our gentlemen how much you appreciate them,” Emmett said over the mic, and another roar of cheers rose up.

The music volume decreased, and Emmett continued.

“These fine firefighters have asked the audience for a volunteer.”

Gasps rose up, and everyone turned to Sadie.

She shook her head, smiling. “Hell, no.”

“It’s your baby shower,” I persisted, laughing. “This is what you wanted.”

“Who’s the lucky winner?” Emmett’s voice rang out, and Sadie grabbed my arm and yanked it up.

“What?” I croaked, shaking my head, trying to pull my arm back. “No way!”

Pregnant women werestrong. She waved my arm in the air, but Finn’s gaze had never even left me. He advanced on us and my gut dipped.

Sadie leaned into my ear. “It’s my baby shower, I get to choose.” She started clapping. “Olivia, Olivia, Olivia.”

Of course, the crowd around us joined in, chanting my name.

Finn drew closer and my face flamed hot. He dropped off the stage, standing right in front of me as more raucous cheering rose up around us.

“Hi, Liv,” he said, grinning.

The opening bars of Ginuwine’s ‘Pony’ played, and the crowd lost their minds.

He stepped forward and leaned down so his mouth was beside my ear. He brushed the shell with his lips, and I sucked in a lungful of his scent. It made the spot between my legs pulse.
