“Hot,” Olivia finished. “And believe me, it was.”
“Let’s not lose our focus, people,” Rebecca said. “We are here to discuss Sadie’s future sexual exploits with Jack, not Olivia’s past ones.”
“I wouldn’t mind hearing more about Olivia’s past sexual exploits,” Nikki complained.
Olivia winked. “I’ll tell you later.”
“What else?” Rebecca asked Sadie.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, if it was just the asshole thing, you wouldn’t be this twisted up. You’d say no and be done.”
“That’s true,” Olivia agreed.
“So?”
Sadie shifted to curl up in her chair. “I can’t figure out why.”
“Why, what?” Olivia asked.
“Why he wants to play with me.”
Olivia turned to Rebecca. “Is she kidding?”
“I don’t think she is,” Rebecca murmured back, then turned to Sadie. “Why wouldn’t he want to play with you?”
“Well, let’s see.” Sadie gestured with her wine glass. “He never smiles at me or talks to me unless it’s to tell me I’m doing something wrong.”
“Well, he’s a sadist,” Nikki said with a shrug. “Isn’t a stern image part of the package?”
“I guess,” Sadie allowed. “But Nick is stern, and he doesn’t come off as chronically constipated.
“And,” she continued while Rebecca choked, “he thinks I’m a brat.”
“But…you area brat,” Nikki pointed out.
“Which I know isn’t for everyone,” Sadie went on. “I’m an acquired taste, and that’s fine.”
Olivia exchanged glances with Rebecca. “You don’t think he likes brats?”
Sadie shrugged. “I don’t know if he likes brats, but it seems pretty clear he doesn’t like me. So I don’t know why he’d want to play with me.”
“Did you ask him?”
“No,” Sadie admitted. “But I will.”
“His answer should be interesting,” Olivia murmured, and cleared her throat. “You said you’ve been bored lately. Were you bored last night?”
Sadie shook her head. She’d been a lot of things last night—aroused, confused, annoyed—but she hadn’t been bored. “No.”
“Do you have concerns about his skills as a Dom, or that he might not respect your limits?”
“No, nothing like that.”
“Are you attracted to him?”
Sadie bit her lip. “Just between us?”
