“I don’t want to leave Ash by himself the first night here,” I replied, hoping he understood.

“Want some company?”

Ash didn’t know I was gay, and I didn’t know how he would take it if I suddenly showed up with my boyfriend to spend the night without making sure it was okay with him first. It was common courtesy since we shared a room, and he was my roommate. I’d expect the same from him if he wanted to have a girl over for the night.

I stopped us at the end of the hall and pressed Julien to the wall, fitting my body flush with his. At my uncharacteristic show of dominance, his pupils blew wide, and I felt his cock thicken against my stomach.

“Ash doesn’t know I’m gay.”

“So?”

“So, I think it’s important he knows first before we start having sleepovers in the dorm.”

The lust on Julien’s face quickly morphed into hurt.

Getting defensive, he snapped, “I thought we were done with hiding our relationship. No more secrets, remember? If your room—”

I kissed him to shut him up.

“Will you let me finish?”

He narrowed his gunmetal-gray eyes at me.

Jayson was no longer being a couch potato and passed us on the way to his room. “Need to piss.”

“Don’tneedto know that,” Julien quipped at his brother.

Jayson held up his middle finger as he disappeared inside his bedroom.

Turning Julien’s attention back to me, I continued, “What I was trying to say is, why don’t we head over to my room after dinner. We can tell Ash.Together. I doubt he’ll care, but it’s his room too, which means he gets a say.”

Softening from his rigid stance, Julien nodded and cradled my cheek in his hand.

“I won’t hide how I feel about you. I won’t hide us. Never again. I’m going to kiss you whenever the fuck I want. Hold your hand. Touch you. I don’t give a shit if Ash or anyone else at CU has a problem with it.”

Absolute joy burst inside my chest and filled my thundering heart. It took a long time for Julien to be open about his bisexuality and about our relationship. Because of what happened with Mom, I’d always be afraid of how other people perceived me. However, that fear paled in comparison to my love for Julien. If anyone had a problem with it, they could go fuck themselves. I wasn’t going to pretend to be someone else anymore just to appease a few prejudiced mindsets.

“Everyone on my team knows. Even Coach.”

Dumbstruck to the core because he hadn’t said a word about it, all I could do was blink for a few seconds.

“You told them?”

Julien’s crookedly sweet smile lit me up with warmth from the inside out.

“Damn straight I did.”

I couldn’t stop the tears from gathering. “I love you so much.”

Ryder sauntered out of the kitchen just as Jayson came out of his room.

“I swear to God, you two are like freaking limpets and slower than molasses in the snow. Dinner is getting cold,” Ryder said, bending down to heft me up in a fireman’s carry.

I was a solid guy, so the fact he could carry me like that attested to how deceptively strong Ryder was.

Jayson curled an arm around Julien’s shoulder, and they followed us.

“The four amigos together again,” Jayson said.
