The finality in his words cut deep. Reality punches through the dreamy fantasy. Come morning I have to return to my regular life. Magnolia Lafleur. Club Sin manager. Outcast. Hunted. But between the three of them I feel like a queen. Not someone running and hiding in fear. I don’t want to leave them and honestly I don’t think I can.
Shuddering and gasping, I cling to them. Hot bodies pin me to the bed.
They hold me to them—Rune over the top of me. Oliver kissing my cheeks, the tip of my nose and Danika stroking my hair and peppering my shoulder with gentle kisses.
It’s sweet and tender. Unlike anything I would ever imagine of them if I saw them walking down the street. And I eat up their attention and savor being the center of their world for just a few more moments.
I go to sit up, but Rune is having too much fun running his hands up the length of my back.
“Stay with us.”
That is Danika.
“Don’t leave, petals. Don’t break our hearts.” Rune moves to the side and pulls me into his arms. I look at the other men but they don’t look jealous. If anything, their expressions are filled with contentment.
“I can’t.” I try to sit up and move off the bed but Rune’s a tricky bastard and uses my momentum to flip me into the mattress face down. He slides his massive weight over the top of me. His cock is already hard and teasing my ass.
I clutch at the sheets. “Rune,” I beg, and I swear to God as my witness, I don’t mean for it to come out as a plea for Rune to give me another orgasm, but I do. And he hears it.
“I know that wedding band has nothing to do with it.” There’s a possessive tone to his words.
I raise my left hand and smile. It held a lot of men off. Almost all the women here wear one. It didn’t seem to do the job tonight with these three. “You three took me without a care in the world believing I belong to someone else?”
“About that.” Oliver reaches for my hand and pulls the simple gold band off. He passes it to Danika who tosses it across the room.
“You won’t be needing that.”
Now Danika is the one sounding possessive.
I would be a fool to read too much into the way they are carrying on. “What makes you so sure?”
Danika brushes roughened knuckles across my cheek. “Because you belong to us now. And there is not a man alive who would leave you a virgin. You used it to protect yourself. You have us now. That is all you need.”
Oliver tips my chin until our gazes connect.
I don’t know what is happening or why I can’t stop it but maybe I don't need to. Maybe it’s the magic of the witching season. The wickedness and temptation in the air. But all three of my lovers make me want to believe in love.
They ignite something new in me and I feel it wherever their skin touches mine. It starts small but the longer I stay in their arms the stronger the connection feels. Is it fate speaking to me?
“Stay with us and let us show you what it means to belong to the Sinn family.”
“Family.” My heart squeezes. I don’t want them to see me cry so I force the sudden tears burning my eyes into retreat.
I savor the word on my lips. They can’t possibly know the value I hold to that one word. It means the whole world to me. Having a family is myone day fantasy.
It scares me, but instead of running for the door I spread my legs and let Rune pull me to my knees.
“Show me again how much you want me.”
And they do until the sun comes up over the Seattle skyline.
Is instant love a real thing? Could I be falling for men I just met? I don’t know. But I want to find out. Maybe I can stop running now.
I can only hope they are not playing with my heart.
