Another orgasm forces its way through me, Dante covers my face again, I claw at his arms, he smiles. We are both fucked up, loving the pain and passion entwined.
“Cum with me, cum now.” And I do, I shatter underneath him, stars fill my vision as he roars with his own release. The warmth of his seed spreads inside, it’s the most incredible feeling, something so personal being deep inside me.
His sweaty body collapses onto mine and we both breathe heavily. Our hearts thumping in tandem. He doesn’t slide out of me this time, his cock softens. He stares into my eyes and strokes the hair from my face. “Did you like it?” He asks, leaning down to kiss my neck, I swallow. “Yeah, it felt good, what was that?” I ask.
“I brought you to the edge, then you come back. It should feel intense for you, like you are floating.” His lips move along my jaw with the words. “I’m glad you trusted me,” he says, sliding out of me.
“Of course, I’ll always trust you,” I respond, leaning up on my elbows again to watch him.
“You shouldn’t trust anyone else here.” He tells me, while grabbing his clothes and shoving them on. It hurts that he is leaving, but I swallow down the disappointment. I know we can’t get caught so this is how it has to be.
Chapter thirty-five
Dante
Onceagain,IleaveRose alone in bed. Guilt settles over me, but who knows what my father will do if he finds out what we’re doing. He might kill her. My father never wanted to hand his business over to anyone else but his only son. I’m slowly gaining his trust. I’ve been let out of the estate and proved I will return. Does he think I want this yet?
I pass Gabriele as I walk down the hall, I know he is about to watch over Rose, I tilt my head toward him. I respect what he is doing, keeping our secrets, and making sure she’s safe when I can’t. I’m curious if he has realised she is the girl I had told him about when he first became my guard. The thought of asking him crosses my mind, but I push it away for now. Instead, I go to my room and shower, washing off the sweat coating my body and the smell of Rose on me. I would love to keep her scent on me and wear her for the rest of the day. But others will notice. People will talk. We need to keep it a secret.
I’m doing laps in the pool and notice Rose doing her yoga again. I purposely chose this time to swim, seeing her outside her room is important to me. I try not to watch, but now that I’ve had her, I can’t help but think of all the different positions I can bend her into. Damn, she is flexible.
Since the library, I’ve been thinking about her not finding love. Her fear goes around in my mind like a broken carousel. She could have had me two years ago, but I didn’t let her. Maybe that’s why I got jealous about Antonio kissing her. I can’t take any of it back now. I went to her last night to see how much she could take, how much she trusted me to not kill her.
I think about our first kiss, the way she vanished, and how I found her again. Just to find that she is nothing like her old self on the outside. She hides her feelings and not even my taking her virginity could open her up like I wanted. But I’m close, I can feel it every time we are together.
When I raise my head above the water, I notice she is rolling up her mat. I swim to the edge and pull myself out; she looks over. A blush spreads across her cheeks as her eyes travel down my wet body until it lands on the edge of my swim shorts. She bites her lip before looking me in the eye. Hers are glowing.
I step closer until I’m in her personal space with a smirk. “Don’t you want to join me for a swim?”
Her eyes flicker to the pool behind me and she straightens. “No, thank you. Maybe another time.” She tries to step around me, but I touch her arm. Sparks fly through my body at the contact, and her eyes widen as she looks up at me. Does she feel it too? I had noticed it before, but the more we are together, the stronger it is. It’s strange.
I shake off the feeling and smirk. “What’s wrong with now?”
Her eyebrows dip, but a cute little squeal comes from her when I pick her up and walk toward the edge of the pool. A chuckle escapes me when she starts pounding her fists against my back. I don’t think I’ve laughed as much in the last two years as I have since we first met. She wiggles in my hold. “Let me down. Are you crazy?” She shrieks.
“Oh, you want me to put you down, right here?” I ask. She freezes. I gaze down into the water with a smile. “Lighten up. When was the last time you got to have fun? No working, no training, just something that makes you laugh?”
Knowing my father wouldn't have allowed her, she stayed silent and sagged on my shoulder. No one goes near her to have any type of fun. Everyone is always on guard because of what she is and how easily she can kill.
I flip her over and hold her bridal style. “Be a good girl and hold your breath,” I murmur. Her lips part, but I jump. She sucks in a breath just as we hit the water and go under. When we surface, she sputters and flails her arms around. I get closer and hold her steady while we both tread the water.
“You’re an arsehole,” she laughs while splashing water in my face. My fingers sweep along her cheek. She swallows. I fucked her already, and she still gets shy. “I know I am,” I mutter. Her face softens and we stay silent. I pull her closer and she glides closer through the water, crashing into my body.
“Do you go in the water much?” I ask. Her eyebrows furrow as though it’s a stupid question.
“Yeah, I swim here whenever I can,” she replies.
“What about the sea? I know your balcony looks over it. Your room faces the same way as mine. When was the last time you went out and swam in the water?” I ask again. She pulls her lips in and shakes her head. “You should know I’m not allowed to leave the estate. Do you really think Leo would take me out in the open for a swim?” She pushes away from me, I let go.
“You should take us there,” I whisper. I’m surprised she hears me when she answers. “I can’t even get to the gates. How the hell am I supposed to take us there?” She swims back, away from my touch.
My father walks in and stares at Rose. “I’ve been looking for you. We might have a job.” My head swings toward her, noting how she deflates at doing a job. I grab her forearm before she swims away. “Dream of me,” I tell her. Hoping she gets the hint. It’s been a while since we could dream together, not including when she had shown me where she was.
My eyes don’t leave her as she pulls herself from the water in her soaking clothes, my father tuts in disappointment. I turn to him and he is watching me. He gives me a warning look and places his hand on Rose’s lower back, guiding her away. I hate that he touches her, even in a platonic way, but I can’t say anything, so I carry on with my laps, passing time.
