Rian gasped. “For shame. Talking to me while nude. What would your daddy say?”

Kylian didn’t stop smiling. “For you? He’d probably cheer. He says you’re very charismatic, and he was super disappointed to learn we’re not dating.”

“Who says we’re not dating?”

Kylian chuckled. “You’re outrageous. First, you shoot up my dad’s house. Then you kidnap me. Now you’re joking about dating.”

Rian couldn’t stop smiling. “Put on some clothes and meet me on the front porch. I’m taking you dancing. You can tell me later we’re not dating.”

“Are you seriously standing on the front porch right now?”

Rian brushed the rose he held for Kylian against his bottom lip. “Come see.”

He watched as Kylian wrapped himself in a blue silk robe and headed for his bedroom door. Rian killed the video feed and pressed the phone to his ear. He stared at the front door. It finally swung open. Rian put his phone in his back pocket and held out the rose.

“Told you so.”

Kylian shook his head and accepted the flower. He took a step back. “You’re something else.”

As Rian stepped inside, Bryson and King cut through the living room wearing nothing but pajama pants. “I thought you said you weren’t dating.”

At Bryson’s comment, a blush exploded across Kylian’s face. He grabbed Rian’s wrist, put his head down, and barreled down the hall with Rian in tow. A chuckle that sounded evil even to Rian’s ears fell from his lips as he obediently followed.

Once they were shut away inside Kylian’s room, Rian looked around as if he had never seen it. “Your childhood bedroom. This is nice.”

Kylian spoke over his shoulder as he rummaged through his wardrobe. “Actually, I was raised in Colorado. My dad had this house built after he divorced my mom. He wanted me as far away from any chance of seeing her again as possible.”

Rian eyed the pictures stuck to Kylian’s mirror. There were several of Kylian with various people. Some girl, his dads, and Sean. “An ugly divorce?”

“You could say that. She tortured me anytime my dad wasn’t home. She blamed me for ruining their perfect child-free life and everything else that was wrong with the world.”

That was one thing Rian hadn’t known. He turned Kylian’s way and caught him dressing. Kylian didn’t seem to mind being watched, so Rian didn’t stop. “Tortured you how? Physically or mentally?”

“Both,” Kylian said with a shrug. Even though he sounded nonchalant about the situation, his entire body had taken a brittle edge at the topic. He wouldn’t meet Rian’s stare. “It was bad enough she served some prison time and lost all rights. Dad had this house built and moved us here. If she’s ever reached out, Dad has kept it from me. As far as I know, she could be dead. If there’s any justice in the world, she is.”

Kylian’s hard tone told Rian everything he needed to know. The abuse had been extensive. Rian would ensure justice was done.

Kylian turned his way. He wore a soft-looking blue t-shirt that made his eyes pop and a pair of jeans that were sexy as fuck shaping Kylian’s gorgeous body. “I hope this is okay. I guess I should’ve asked before I dressed.”

“You look amazing.”

For a moment, they simply stared at each another. Rian moved closer. He picked up the rose where Kylian had left it on his vanity. Rian ran the petals down Kylian’s jaw before setting it back down in a different spot, where it didn’t block one of the many cameras in Kylian’s room. His gaze never wavered from Kylian. Kylian didn’t look away. It was as if he held his breath, waiting to see Rian’s next move.

“I supposed I’d better take you dancing now before one of your dads beats down the door, expecting I’ll molest you.”

A gorgeous smile exploded across Kylian’s face. “Actually, Dad is working double time trying to convince himself that I’m grown, so he’s being extra hands off lately. King just officially became my dad three months ago, so he’s still trying to find his place.”

“In that case.” Rian closed the final inch between them and pressed a light kiss to Kylian’s lips. That was it. He backed away every bit as quickly, hoping to keep Kylian off balance. Unfortunately, he forgot it was Kylian he toyed with. The guy always managed the upper hand. Kylian snagged the collar of Rian’s shirt and dragged him down for a real kiss. All Rian could do was follow. Kylian sucked Rian’s bottom lip before nibbling. By the time their tongues met, Rian was already rock hard. Kylian smelled like sunshine. Rian wanted to taste every inch of him. His hands found Kylian’s waist before sliding up Kylian’s back. He couldn’t stop himself from drawing Kylian closer. The kiss was such a mixture of hot and sweet that Rian had never been more confused. It was like his brain knew they would stop at a kiss, but his body was ready to have Kylian in every way.

Kylian’s lips moved to Rian’s cheek. He felt Kylian smile against his skin. A laugh rose in Rian’s throat. Kylian was the first to chuckle. A smile exploded across Rian’s lips.

“I think we’re both a little mad.”

Kylian laughed harder.

Rian held him tighter. This was the craziest ride he had been on in ages. He couldn’t wait to see what happened next.
