She was wet, she knew it. He did, too, as soon as he found the nub of her, his finger tracing circles around it. And when she started to feel the electricity fizzle inside of her, he kissed his way down her stomach, then slid her panties down her hips, his lips joining his fingers.

Oh god, his tongue. Her head tipped back, her breath caught, and she could feel the pleasure start to radiate. Against his mouth, around his fingers, making her slick and hot and needy.

“Kris!” Her fingers dug into his hair as she convulsed around him, pleasure making her buck off the bed. And still he carried on kissing and licking, until she couldn’t take anymore.

When he moved to kiss her lips she could taste herself on him. He cradled her head, whispered how perfect she was, then reached for his wallet, pulling a foil packet out.

“You don’t need to.”

“I don’t?” A confused smile played at his lips.

“I’m on the pill.”

One of his brows lifted and she smiled, the pleasure still making her feel giddy. “I have heavy periods. It regulates them.”

“And you’re sure you’re okay with me…”

“I’m clean.”

“So am I.”

She nodded and he grinned. “You’re perfect.

The smile slid from his face as he pushed into her. Replaced by a groan and a roll of his eyes. “Jesus. You feel amazing.”

Every hitch of his hips felt exquisite. Every slick of his tongue against hers. He kissed her and slid inside of her, grinding exactly where she needed him, one hand cupping her behind to angle her perfectly as he hit her deeper than she ever thought possible.

And she could feel it. That quickening. Before she could even call out his name, she was coming again. And when he felt her tighten around him, he let out a groan, following her into oblivion as he spilled inside of her, his eyes never leaving hers.

For a long minute neither of them moved. The only sound in the room was their rapid breaths, as they slowly came down from their high. Then he smiled at her again, rolling over to pull her against him.

“Just so you know,” she said, letting her face fall against his chest. “We’ll be doing that again.”

The shower was running in the cabin’s tiny bathroom when she woke up. Panic washed over her – not an attack this time, thank goodness – as she picked up Kris’s phone to check the time.

It was seven a.m.. Cole would be awake, wondering where she was. Why the hell did Kris let her sleep in when he knew that. She went to put the phone back down on the table next to his bed when she saw a message flash up, white on green.

Are you still okay to talk today? – Laura.

The shower had stopped. She quickly put the phone back where she’d found it and grabbed her clothes. She was buttoning up her jeans when Kris walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his slim waist.

“You’re awake.” He smiled at her.

“It’s seven. I should be home.” She pulled her sweater over her head and caught a glimpse of her hair in the mirror over the dresser. Damn, she looked rough.

“Your dad has it all under control.” He had another towel in his hands and used it to rub his dripping hair. “He said he’d get Cole off to school this morning.”

“You spoke to my dad?” Her voice lifted. Oh this was worse than she thought. “My dad knows I stayed here? Did you tell him we had sex?”

“Three times?” Kris grinned. “No I didn’t. I spoke to him before I came home last night, not after. And I didn’t tell him I was going to fuck you until you were dazed. He just suggested you needed a break, that’s all.”

“But my dad.” She felt so weird. What would he tell Cole? Damn, she wished she’d woken up earlier.

Kris walked over and put his hands on her face. They were warm and damp. “Stop overthinking.”

“I can’t help it. It’s literally my job.” She was a mom, a daughter, she had a business to run. Her brain ran at a high speed whenever she was awake.
