Nina
“No!”I roar, grasping Lance’s forearm as I lean over in hysterics.
“Charles was stuck there for three days,” Elliot tells us.
Charlie nods as if he’s reliving the story as it’s being told. “My mum thought I wasn’t coming home, I’m surprised she ever let me back in the house.”
“Charlie! I never took you as such a playboy!” Megan accuses, laughing along with us. “Those poor girls.”
“Poor girls?” Scarlet asks. “What’s poor about those girls?!”
“Right!” I tip my glass to her.
“It was over ten years ago, ladies,” Charlie tells us, downplaying it.
“We all had our day, Charles.” I wink at him, giving him a soft smile.
“It’s true. I slept with a woman once,” George announces with a slight slur, making Mason, who was relatively quiet, choke on his drink. “Ah, you didn’t see that one coming, did you, Bossman.”
“Not your cuppa tea, George?” I ask with a grin.
“No, she was great! But, Nina…” He dips his head to his shoulder in a knowing look. “Come on, surely you’ve been dominated by a man before?” He pops a brow at me.
I chew on my lip, giggling like an embarrassed schoolgirl. I love George. “Well.” I roll my lips. “I’m not sure I have, George.” I laugh, watching as Charlie clasps Mason’s shoulder in a show of support.
Mason shakes his head at me, his eyes darker than the night outside. They drop to my neck, then my breasts. I’m about to go to him, needing the contact, when Lucy pops her head between me and Lance. Miller is standing at her back.
“Girls, the band finished! Scar, we have to do the auction!”
“Oh no, can we not!” I plead.
“Yes! We have to,” Scarlet tells me. “I had other prizes added too. It’s going to be a blast.”
“Auction?” Mason asks.
“Nina, and Lucy,” Elliot tells him, his eyes set on Lucy. “They’re auctioning themselves for a date tonight.”
“What?!” Mason snaps, already outraged.
“It’s just for fun,” Scarlet reassures him.
“Vinny said he will bid,” I tell him. I turn to Megan. “Accept Vinny’s offer, Megs, please!”
“Sure thang,” she mumbles, her eyes heavy.
Megan’s drunk! Good god, this won’t be good.
I give Mason a wave as Scarlet pulls me through the crowd and over to the stage. The boys all take a stand at the bar, a hard look on every one of their faces.
“The boys are pissed,” I tell the girls.
“They’ll get over it. It’s for charity.” Scarlet rolls her eyes, fluffing my hair.
“Your tits are wonky,” Megan tells me, her smile lazy as she stands in a daze.
“Gee, thanks Megs. Just wait till you have kids! Scar, you can’t have this idiot doing the auction!”
“She’ll be fine.”
