The screen door opened, and I looked over Van’s shoulder to see Colton and Wyatt coming in, nudging each other playfully and discussing football tactics and plays. “Fire pit’s ready,” Colton said the moment his eyes met mine.

“And I made sure there were no surprises.” Wyatt nodded at me before sliding a side look at our youngest brother.

Colton picked up the basket of pillows and blankets as Savannah handed me the picnic basket she’d packed everything into. “Now go get the girl, Ry.”

I pressed a quick kiss to her cheek. “Thanks, Van.” Looking at my baby sister, I smiled. “You too, Dolly.”

Together, Colton and I headed out to my truck and put the stuff into the tray. “Remember, Ry.” Colton clapped my shoulder “If what she has on underneath matches. You didn’t make the first move.” I couldn’t help but laugh. But cuffed him upside the back of his head anyway. He sent me a shit-eating grin before heading back inside.

A few moments later, Sienna was making her way down the stairs of the front porch and holy shit, she actually got changed. The jeans she was wearing hugged her legs and I couldn’t help but stare at them. She laughed, and it broke the spell.

“Let’s do this, darlin’.” I opened the passenger door for her, taking her hand in mine as I helped her climb in.

Just before I closed the door, her hand softly touched my forearm. “Yes, let’s.”
